The Afternoon certainly turned on some nasty weather, with the temps climbing into the mid 40's, and phenomal wind gusts coming through causing havock in the Showjumping ring. Only one class of Showjumping ended up being run on the Saturday, due to the exteme wind gusts, and all other jumping moved to Sunday, a move that was welcomed by all.
Young Aspen Filia from Ocean Grove put in a blistering showjumping round in the Training 4 onboard "Fairlight Acres Lillian" showing a few of the oldies how it should be done

Woady Yaloak is one of the few official EFA events that offer Training Level 3 & 4 grades, and being the first event of the season for 2009, the riders always flock to this venue to give there new young horses a workout, as did Olivia Poulter seen here in the TR3 class riding "WF Torme"
For those who thought the weather was extreme, they were right, except that on Sunday for Cross Country it was the exact opposite of Saturdays weather. We got pouring rain in the morning and jump judges desperately scrambling for a coat to warm up.

Malcolm Nancarrow has been bitten by the Eventing bug, having started only a couple of years ago at the lower level HRCAV grades, he has quickly worked his way up through the levels now competing at EFA Preliminary and loving every minute of it onboard "Ben"

Woady Yaloak had a record number of entries this year, though sadly about 30 scratching with riders deciding to stay home due to theatening bushfires close to there properties, we wish them all luck

Peta Elstrek rode "Castlefin Cruiser" in the Pre Novice Section, Peta also a very solid campainer at nearly every EFA Horse Trials
Sarah Hall rode "Nawarrah Park Happy Gilmore" in the Pre Novice Section 1.2, this combination certainly took home it's fair share of st place ribbons last year, and looking good again this season
