'Wiz Me Luck' a stallion ridden by Rogerio Barral from Brazil helped Brazil to eighth place in the Team competition.

Belgian rider, Cira Baeck looked to be having great fun riding the 12 year-old stallion, 'Little Gump'. The Belgian team finished in sixth place.

Riding for the USA, Dell Hendricks rode 'Starbucks Sidekick' to help win back to back WEG Championship Gold Medals, just one point ahead of Canada.

British driver, Karen Bassett, one of just two women drivers, weaves her way throught the 'Arabian Oasis' complex with her team.

Germany's Rainer Duen's team trot between obstacles on Marathon day. They are in 17th place over all after the Dressage and the Marathon.

Funny place for a lolly shop, but there was on the cross-country course today and several around the main venue. The Germany are keen on their lollies and sadly so am I.

Denmark's Kund Jorgensen and his team head over the bridge and down to the 'Seaside Resort Obstacle'.

These rather elegant horses are the leaders'of Belgian driver, Gert Schrijvers team. They are eighth after two days of competition and the Belgian Team is third.

This very colour co ordinated team from France is driven by Thibault Coudry.

This beautifully presented and beautifully matched Team from Switzerland is driven by Daniel Wurgler. They are leaving the 'Seaside Resort' obstacle. They are in 14th place of 29 competitors.

Australian, Bob Edwards makes a tight turn with his team in the 'Seaside Resort' obstacle.

What a wonderfully well-matched team. Sweden's Jan Eric Palsson and his bay team are really concentrating as they make their way through the 'Seaside Resort' obstacle.

Notice the concentration on the faces of the leaders. Current individual leader and second in the teams, former World Champion, Ysbrand Chardon from the Netherlands and his team make their way through the 'Seaside Resort'.

This lovely team of Andalusians is driven by Juan Robles Marchena, who is of course from Spain.

Veteran driver Grorge Bowman is a favourite in Australia and of course in many other places. The 72 year old driver from Penrith in Cumbria in England breeds his own Hackney Gelderlanders and his well matched team is just six years old. George has been British Champion Four in Hand Driver 19 times and this is his 16 World CHampionship.

Hungarian driver, Zoltan Lazar threads the needle with his lovely team of Lipperzaners. They are in overall fifth place going into the cones.

Polish driver, Jacek Kozlowski heads into the complicated Seaside Resort complex with his elegant team.

'Round you come'. German driver, Ludwig Weinmayr turns his team in the 'Seaside Resort'. The huge crowd gave them and all the other drivers a huge cheer as they exited this obstacle. As can be seen from most of the photographs the weather was beautiful today, and for the first time warm. Weinmayr is in 18th place with the German team, first.

German driver, Michael Freund negotiates the difficult Mercedes Benz Complex. This was the first obstacle on course and was the last for three of the 49 starters who were eliminated here.
