Yarra Glen & Lilydale Hunt Club Show

Tracey Cullen representing the Yarra Glen and Lilydale Hunt Club rode 'Mack' to win the class for Show Hunter Hack 15-16.2hh. The YG & L Hunt Club again hosted their annual Hunter Show at their picturesque grounds at Yering in the Yarra Valley. The day although cold was just perfect for a Hunter Show; "good hunting weather".

Kate Fremlin and her 'Scarteen' a member of the very well represented Tocumwall Hunt Club make a super jump during the Open Hunter's Plate in Ring 1.

Andrew Cuthbert representing the Black and Tans is pictured riding his 'Power Boy' in the Novice Hunter's Plate.

John Quill, another representing the Black and Tans rode his 'Northern Crescendo' to win the Gentleman's Hunter's Plate.

Kaytlyn Lawton used the Hunter Show as part of 'Braeloch's' preparation for the Melbourne CCI One Star competition next week at Werribee Park. They took second place in the Novice Hunter's Plate.

A delighted Tracey Montebello claimed the Show Hunter Galloway Championship with her 14.2-15hh winner, 'Wendon Overture'.

Successful young showing rider, Edwina Lumsden rode her, 'Riverdale Top Cat' to win the class for Show Hunter Pony 12.2-14hh and take out the Reserve Champion Show Hunter Pony award. Edwina also rode her delightful, 'Tjuringa Digby' to win the Small Pony class and claim the Show Hunter Pony Championship.

Rebecca Clarke representing the 'Black and Tans' rode 'Northern Irresistible' to win the class for Medium Weight Hunter.

Lauren Briglia representing the Melbourne Hunt Club rode her 'Patriot' to fourth place in the class for Medium Weight Hunter.

Yarra Glen and Lylidale member, Greg Browne rode his impressive Percheron/Thoroughbred, 'Stolly' to win the class for Heavy Weight Hunter on the Flat.

Linda Grinter representing the Tocumwal Hunt Club rode one of the numerous Tocumwal Clydesdale crosses, 'Junior' to third place in the class for Heavy Weight Hunter.

Well known and successful showing rider, Megan Cheeseman gave her well performed, 'Gleneagles Giorgio' a winter outing. They took out the Show Hunter Over 16.2hh class and went on to be declared Champion Show Hunter.

Representing the Yarra Glen and Lilydale Hunt Club, Barry Deacon and his, 'Pavarotti', rather like a pony that grew and grew, took sixth place in the class for Heavy Weight Hunter.

Yarra Glen and Lilydale member, James Maculey took the opportunity of the Hunter Show to give his young half Irish Draught, 'Liam' the opportunity to accumulate some "miles". They are pictured during the Heavy Weight Hunter class.

With the picturesque Yarra Valley in the background, complete with Angus steers, Yarra Glen & Lilydale member, Carolyn Yencken made the most of the day with her Heavy Weight Hunter, 'Goliath'.

Debra Barnett from the Sunbury Riding Club who was competing in the HRCAV ring on the day took the opportunity to incorporate the Hunter classes. She is pictured riding her 'Xanadu' that took third place in the class for Show Hunter Galloway 14.2-15hh.

Kate Smith rode her 'Daz' to fourth place in the 60cm Junior Hunter's Plate.

Sophie Ashton rode her wonderful 22 year old 'Tambo' to win the 60cm Junior Hunter's Plate.

Grace Smith is pictured riding her super jumping pony 'Alf' in the 60cm Junior Hunter's Plate. 'Alf' was seen negotiation anything put in front of him during the day.

Meg Rollands and her delightful 'Alice' jumped well through the day and took third place in the 60cm Junior Hunter's Plate.

Neesha Shimmen's 'Jinny' was very keen to get in the air over the panels and took fifth place in the 60cm Junior Hunter's Plate.

Amanda Herezo rode her colourful, 'Pearlea' to win the 60cm Novice Hunter's Plate and take second place in the Open.

Another visitor from the HRCAV ring, Kylie Stucco rode her 'Doncasvann Prime' to take equal fourth place in the 60cm Open Hunter's Plate.

Successful Victorian Showjumping Young Rider, Toni Scattergood took the opportunity to give her four year old Contenda mare, 'Meridan Contessa' an educational day out. They are pictured during the Open 60cm Hunter's Plate.

Although representing the Tocumwall Hunt Club, Ngarie Herbert was one of the organisers of the 2011 Hunter Show. Ngarie rode her 'Jenna' to second place in the 60cm Novice Show Hunter class..
