Dexter is an OTTB who has been with me for only eight months, has maintained his fitness and has continued undergoing training ever since. He is a wonderful ride with three amazing gaits and a beautiful demeanour. He has been exposed to busy environments, including heavy/loud machinery, horses being moved in herds at high speeds, and busy mornings/afternoons at the yard.

I purchased Dexter as my very first horse/project and couldn't have asked for a better horse. He's proven to be a gentleman and one to please. He is always keen on head scratches and affection. His efforts under the saddle match his personality, quiet yet persistent. He is willing to try his hardest to do anything you ask of him.

I cannot express enough what an amazing experience he has given me as a first-time horse owner. He is great to catch as he always comes up to the fence in the paddock upon being called over, stands still for his farriers and will walk on a float with ease. He's been on rides along the road and trails, barebacked from the paddock and back and has been ridden in open and indoor arenas. I've always felt confident on my rides and he hasn't disappointed, as he's always been compliant and remains in a beautiful frame upon request.

He has always carried me over jumps with confidence. Dexter has an amazing scope, jumping 60-centimetre courses with confidence and has jumped 1 metre with me, with the potential to go higher. He has proven to be brave in his work, making him a great prospect.

Dexter means a lot to me, especially as my first-ever horse, however, due to unforeseen circumstances at the moment, I am afraid I cannot provide him with the opportunities he can excel in. I feel as though I am withholding his potential, I would wish for nothing more than to see him happy and to be loved just as much as I have.

He would suit tall and capable riders or adults keen on a quiet project, willing to continue with his jumping career or someone who looks forward to a quiet ride and willing to perfect his flat work for a potential dressage horse.

He comes with all of his gear, including:
