2009 Australian Showjumping Championships

One day the 16hh Thoroughbreds will take over the world, and Brook Dobbin's, 'GP Shine' will be at the forefront of the revolution. Shine jumped well today to take fifth place in the second Senior Championship qualifier ahead of some very fancy imports.

Paul Athanasoff jumped a super clear first round with his and Charlie Hooke's charismatic, 'Wirragulla Nicklaus', one of just three in the EA second Senior Championship qualifier. Just one down in the second round, saw this well travelled combination take second place.

Olivia Hamood and 'Ranlab Nero' were members of the winning Queensland Young Rider State Team.

Danielle Butcher, pictured riding her, 'Twins Quantum' was a member of the second placed NSW Young Rider Team riding her well performed, 'Landsong'.

Ben Bell and 'Bellara Bistro' were members of the victorious Queensland Team in the EA Australia State Young Rider Team competition.

Kristie-Lee Cross and her well performed, 'Jumanji' make a nice jump during they EA second Young Rider qualifier.

Belinda Prestwidge and her wonderful Thoroughbred, 'Mr Chips' took fifth place in the second Young Rider qualifier sponsored by Equestrian Australia.

Olympic Eventing Team member, Shane Rose won the Cosmorex Coffee D Grade class riding his Three Star Eventer, 'Koko Black'. And quite pleased he looks about it too!.

Former eventing combination, Chloe Hughes and , 'Balmoral Hi Road' were members of the winning Queensland Young Rider State Team,

Kym Hilly and her , 'Nolisco' were members of the winning Queensland EA Young Rider State Team.

Hilary Scott jumped a sensational round riding Alice Cameron's lovely imported mare, 'Oaks Miss Scarlet' to win the EA second Young Rider qualifier.

2009 NSW Young Rider Champions, Emily Blinkworth and 'CP Argentina' jumped well today to take second place in the EA second Young Rider qualifier. With third place yesterday, Emily and the super imported little mare are well placed to take out the National title tomorrow.

Nicholas Sheehan, who works for Chris and Helen Chugg rode his 'Bonaventure' to third place in the exciting EA Young Rider qualifier.

Steven Hill rode his successful, 'Kelstar' to take fourth place in the EA second Young Rider qualifier and they were members of the third placed Victorian State Team.

Georgie Harvey and 'Glenorchy Hope' were members of the victorious NSW Junior State Team.

Kirstie Ansell from Queensland and her , 'SSH Couture' took fifth place in the EA second Junior Championship Qualifier this morning.

Toni Scattergood and her, 'Dee Jay West' were members of the second placed EA Victorian Junior State Team.

Tom McDermott was at it again, this time partnered with 'Saskatoon' to win the EA second Junior Championship qualifier first thing this morning.

Melissa Julius and her , 'Uptown Johnny' were members of the second placed Victorian Junior State Team.

Promising junior rider, Clint Beresford from Bega rode his , 'Johann Lover' to second place in the EA second Junior qualifier.

Kirsten Neil rode her 'Wondaree Set Sail' to fourth place in a very competitive Junior 273.3.3 class this morning. The class, sponsored by Equestrian Australia constituted the second Australian Championship Junior qualifier.

James Hetherington and 'Peppertree' were members of the third placed Queensland Junior Team. A State Team competition was run in conjunction with the second Junior Championship qualifier.
