2010 National Cutting Horse Futurity

Todd Mulcahy from Hivesville Qld rode David and Jenny-Ann Walsh's stallion Duck About by Docs Spinifex (Imp), to score 146 and take second place in the Xtreme Quarter Horses Senior Youth Cutting. Both the Senior Youth and Junior Youth, (conducted tomorrow) are new additions to the NCHA Futurity program and with the excellent standard on display, they are a welcomed inclusion.

Phillip Smith from Goondiwindi Qld riding Steve and Stacey Smith's, Redneck Woman by Poco Pepper Doc (IIU) scored 145 for equal third place in the Xtreme Quarter Horses Senior Youth Cutting.

Kimberly Black from Jindera NSW rode her Miss Tassa Buck by Tassa Lena (Imp) to score 138 in the Xtreme Quarter Horses Senior Youth Cutting for eighth place.

Michael Buckingham from Dimbulah in Far North Queensland, rode the Pays To Be Smart Syndicate's, Pay To Be Smart by Tassa Lena (Imp) to score 135 for tenth place in the Xtreme Quarter Horses Senior Youth Cutting.

Casey Mann from Walcha NSW rode Erin Lyons' RBS Accidential Diamontina to score 138 for ninth place in the Xtreme Quarter Horses Senior Youth Cutting.

Lacey Elliott from Nandaly Victoria posted the highest score of the show so far of 149.5 to win the Xtreme Quarter Horses Senior Youth Cutting. Lacey rode E and D Elliott's impressive stallion, Winderadeen Alil Shortnin by Smart Little Scotty (Imp).

Samantha Mullan from Jerilderie NSW rode Truclass QH's, Ima Pritty Pepto by Peptos Stylish Oak (Imp) to score 141 and take seventh place in the Xtreme Quarter Horses Senior Youth Cutting.

Peter Ryan from Moura Qld rode his Playin Silky by Playin To Spin to score 136 in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final to finish in equal 15th place. Eighty horses competed in the go-rounds with the top 20 moving into the final to compete for the $71,357 prize pool along with trophies and cash bonus.

Tahnika Fuit from Kinchela NSW rode her KGP Tom Cat by Whos Top Cat (Imp) to score 143 for equal seventh place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final. Earlier in the day this combination won the ANZ Limited Non pro Futurity.

John Brekelmans from Gracemere Qld riding his Cresestiny (Imp) mare, Seduction, earned 144 and took equal fifth place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

Wayne Baumann from Werris Creek NSW and his Racketeer Cat (Imp) gelding, Linkafex, looked sensational in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final, until the horse fell over.

Mark Eckerman from Penola SA riding his Goldys Oak by Oaks Jackhammer earned 140 and took equal eleventh place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

Scott Graham from Delanys Creek QLD rode his Kitson by Kit Dual (USA) to score 140 for equal eleventh place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

James Hodgeman from from Pinkett NSW riding EBS Midas Touch scored 142 and took equal ninth place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

Geoff Schnitzerling from Stanthorpe Qld rode Rockin In Style by Peptos Stylish Oak (Imp) to score 146 and take second place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

Mark Buttsworth from Kingaroy Qld rode Krystals Pep by Peptos Stylish Oak (Imp) to score 143 for equal seventh place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

Ian Bush from Alpha Qld rode Sharon Bush's, Roc N Style by Peptos Stylish Oak (imp) to score 136 for equal 15th place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

Donna Amos rode A One Nearoskills to score 144 for equal fifth place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

Lori Mackay from Boggabilla NSW is a two time Non-Pro Futurity winner and heads the list of the NCHA Non Pro money earners. Today Lori riding Duel In Playgirl by Duel Jazz (USA) added another Non Pro Futurity title to her CV and also just over $24,000 to her life time earnings.

Alison Joy Cooper from Dimbulah Qld rode Shortys Doc by Commanchie Shorty (Imp) to score 122 in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

Peter Scumack from Loomberah NSW rode Puddy Tat by his own stallion Racketeer Cat (Imp) to score 145 for equal third place in the Holmes Cutting Horses Non Pro Futurity Final.

The Tamworth AELEC is really an amazing venue. The NCHA Futurity really feels at home in this modern venue and this year has boasted record entries, prize money and spectators. The NCHA Futurity is" the richest indoor equine event in the Southern Hemisphere".

Gaye Kelly rode the Stallion, Whos Ya Daddy to score 144.4 for NSW in the Jack Daniel's State of Origin Cutting. NSW finished in second place on a score of 848. This was a new edition to the Futurity program and it proved to be a lot of fun.

Fiona Tranter rode Under Cover Girl to score 154 for the victorious Queensland team who scored 864 in the Jack Daniel's State of Origin Cutting.

Dean Holden rode the Copperwood Ranch's, A Smarty Cat by Intricatolena to score 142.5 for ninth place in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

John Mitchell rode Tom Williamson's, One Moore Chime by One Moore Playboy to score 142 in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

Rob Hodgman rode his own EB's Phalaris by Dual Rey (Imp) to score an impressive 151 in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final. However, a review was ordered on the run and it was some time before he knew that he was had taken out the class and the $20,000 prize cheque.

Jason Leitch rode his own and wife Rachel's imported stallion Smartys High Card by Sweet Lil Pepto (Imp) to score 142.5 in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

In every cutting run the rider must make one deep cut and select one cow. Here Phil Dawson rides through the herd on Julie Sheedy's Twisted Little Sister by Racketeer Cat (Imp). However, Phil did not pick well and lost his cow resulting in a 124 score in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

Dominic Williams rode his own, Instant Sweet Oak by Instant Dulce (Imp) to score 148 and take equal second place in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

Frank Green riding Rex and Hazel Williams', Winderadeen Grouse Kitty by Intricatolena (Imp) scored 144 for seventh place in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

Todd Graham riding Mark and Joanne Smith's, Winderadeen Scat Cat by Intricatolena scored 143.5 to take eighth place in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

Corey Holden rode Xtreme QH'S, QXH This Peptos Lethal by Peptos Stylish Oak (Imp) to score 145 for fifth place in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

Scott Cambell riding Debbie Donohoe's, Dulces Tiny Dancer by Instant Dulce (Imp) scored 144.5 and took sixth place in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.

Last year's NCHA Futurity winners Heath Sinclair and Rob and Collette Greer's, Dulces Glory by Instant Dulce (Imp) scored 145.5 for fourth place in the SDP Buffalo Ranch Derby Final.
