2019 Willinga Park Dressage by the Sea

Sarah Farraway rode her Anamour gelding, 'Arawn' to take second place in the Do Well/Lennock/Animal Art House U25 Grand Prix with 64.35%..

Apart from the over one hundred camp sites at the venue, Willinga Park has a number of beautifully designed and appointed one and two bedroom "pavilions" available for a more comfortable stay.

Jemma Heran has dominated the Do Well/Lennock/Animal Art House Under 25 Big Tour competition on the second week of the 2019 Dressage By The Sea CDI 4*. Today she rode her beautiful Danish import, 'Hedelunds Mefisto' to win the U25 Grand prix with 64.48%.

Rosanna Relton rode her, 'Four Winds Bombadier' to third place in the Do Well/Lennock/Animal Art House U25 Grand Prix.

The Grand Prix Special is as difficult as dressage gets. Here we see popular Victorian rider, Dirk Dijkstra aboard his, 'AEA Metallic' by Metal that is by Olympic Ferro on their way to second place with 66.66% in the Willinga Park CDI 4* Grand Prix Special.

Alycia Targa rode Jane Bruce's Damsey gelding, 'CP Dresden' to fourth place in the Willinga Park CDI4* Grand Prix Special.

Rozzie Ryan is pictured aboard Thomas Plenty's imported Dutch mare, 'Adonie' by Rubiquil on their way to third place with 65.70% in the Willinga Park CDI4* Grand Prix Special.

Very young to be tackling the Grand Prix Special, but an assured Mary Warren from NSW rode her, 'Mindarah Park Raphael' to produce the best test and win the Willinga Park CDI 4* Grand Prix Special with 67.40%.

A step ladder needed here as , 'Willinga Park Emotion' is a tall horse for a tall rider. Terry Snow purchased the five year old German mare by Equitaris and she will be ridden by resident GP rider, Brett Parbery in the Five Year Old Young Horse classes at Dressage By the Sea.

Usually water cascades from the big concrete beam in to the pond, but as the indoor arena is just beyond, it was thought wise to turn the waterfall off for the duration of Dressage By The Sea.

Michelle Baker rode Kelly Patons', Prestige VDL gelding, 'Bradgate Park Puccini' to take second place in the Kelato Animal Health Intermediate 1 Freestyle CDN with 72.25%.

Julie Bland rode her Jive Magic gelding, 'Jordan' to take eighth place in the Kelato Animal Health Intermediate 1 Freestyle CDN.

Eliza Cullen from Queensland rode her imported De Niro mare, 'Dobria De Jeu' to take fifth place in the Kelato Animal Health Intermediate 1 Freestyle CDN with 66.79%.

Grand Prix rider, Sheridyn Ashwood took third place in the Kelato Animal Health Intermediate 1 Freestyle CDN with 71.94% riding her Ferrero Chocolate Box stallion, 'Ashwood's Chocolate Fondue'.

Brett Parbery rode Terry Snow's talented and imported Sir Donnerhall stallion, 'Sky Diamond' to take fourth place in the Kelato Animal Health Intermediate 1 Freestyle CDN with 70.03%.

Jayden Brown has made it Small Tour clean sweep at the 2019 Dressage By the Sea CDI4* and rode the Lauren George Family Trust nomination, 'Divinci L' to win the Kelato Animal Health Intermediate 1 Freestyle CDN with 76.96%. The imported Dancier (by De Niro) gelding has not been beaten since his arrival in Australia.

Shaun France rode her mare, 'Rionnarc' by Regardez Moi to take fifth place in the Horseland Wollongong Advanced Freestyle with 67.18%.

Harvey Besley from Queensland rode his gelding , 'Derreen Rock n Rolla' by Royston Rockstar to second place in the Horseland Wollongong Advanced Freestyle with 69.58%.

Popular NSW rider, Jodie Newall is pictured aboard her Royal Hit gelding, 'The Royal Huntsman C' during the Horseland Wollongong Advanced Freestyle. The sound system in the Willinga Park indoor is outstanding and added greatly to the enjoyment of the Freestyle competition today.

Elloise Devlin from Queensland rode Sally Devlin's gelding, 'Brimstone Florente' to third place in the Horseland Wollongong Advanced Freestyle with 67.99%.

Michelle Baker certainly got in to the swing of Freestyle competition today. She is pictured aboard Beverley Healey and Kelly Paton's Ampere gelding, 'Bradgate Park Amadeus' that won the Horseland Wollongong Advanced Freestyle with 69.58%.

Mary Warren rode her eye catching, 'Mindarah Park Ramirus' by MP Ramedan to take fourth place in the Horseland Wollongong Advanced Freestyle with 67.75%.

Every technological advancement and then some is on show at Willinga Park. Here we see Alycia Targa riding Jane Bruce's Damsey gelding, 'CP Dresden' past the big screen during the Willinga Park CDI4* Grand Prix Special. This big screen displayed the final score as the horse and rider combination left the arena due to the paperless scoring system.

Willinga Park is certainly the best show venue in Australia, if not the world. Great thought has been given to every detail, especially the comfort of horses and their human attendants. This bank of beautiful, cleaned twice a day loos and showers in the stable and truck park are an indication of the care taken for comfort at Willinga Park.
