2019 Royal Queensland Show "Ekka"

Mackenzie Thompson is already an experienced show rider and today she won the class for Girl Rider 8 AU 10 Years and went on to be declared Champion Junior Girl Rider.

James Arkins claimed back to back Group B Championships today with his impressive and imported stallion, 'Eurostar 1'.

Posting a very fast time in the jump off, Maleah Lang-McMahon was unlucky to have the last fence down riding, 'KS Sovereign's Cadel' to finish the Junior class in third place.

Shania Lyons from Kurwongbar in Queensland place in the Junior jump off class this morning riding her, Delago Bolt'.

Amarni Easey posted one of just two jump off clear rounds riding, 'Town Man' to take second place in the Junior class this morning.

Mayona Marshall was a busy at the end of the lead this morning and is pictured with Rider 7 AU 8 second place getter, Zearne Marshall.

Felicity Hafemeister rode Isabella Anderson's lovely, 'Dunelm Fashion' to take third place in the class for Rider 7 AU 8 Years.

The Raymont family and Paul Austin were a successful combination this morning. Paul is pictured on the run with Bronte Raymont riding well to win the class for Rider 7 AU 8 Years.

Zavanah Cochran rode well this morning to take fifth place in the class for Rider 7 AU 8 Years.

Chelsea Webb from Maudsland in Queensland rode well to take second place in the class for Girl Rider 8 AU 10 Years.

Following a long family tradition, Piper Thompson won the class for Girl Rider 8 AU 10 Years.

The Austin , Lilley and Monaghan nomination, 'Why Waltz Kid Rock' (Fiji R/Russet R) was declared Champion Arabian Derivative Gelding.

Chantelle Fogarty's, 'Twilon Etherial Elegance' (Bacchante Nocturn/Money Centre) was declared Champion Mare and Supreme Champion Arabian Derivative Exhibit. The mare is pictured with handler, Toni Poole and judge Lorelei Payne.

Clare Fedrick took second place in the class for Girl Rider 10 AU 12 Years and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Junior Girl Rider.

Linda Byrnes is pictured with her Best Purebred Friesian Exhibit, 'Ashton of Ellis Park' (Tsjalle 454/Genta Fon Ferwolde).

Successful young showjumping rider, Brooke Langbecker was aboard her stallion, 'Black Jack IXE' and took third place in the Group B Championships today.

Chase Jackson and his, 'Elvonara Park Kandyman' were foot perfect today. Chase won the class for Boy Rider 8 AU 10 Years and went on to be declared 2019 Royal Queensland Show Champion Junior Boy Rider.

Sebastian Lucas won the class for Boy Rider 10 AU 12 Years and was declared Reserve Champion Junior Boy Rider.

Kate Kyros from Adelaide won the class for Girl Rider 15 AU 17 Years and was declared Reserve Champion Girl Rider 12-17 years.

Local girl, Bianca Vankampen won the class for Girl Rider 12 AU 15 Years and went on to take out the 2019 Royal Queensland Show Senior Girl Rider Championship.

The Jackson boys had a successful time on the Ekka arena today. Chase Jackson had already won the Junior Boy Rider Championship and this afternoon, older brother, Jack won the class for Boy Rider 12 AU 15 Years and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Senior Boy Rider.

Darby Humphreys took second place in the class for Boy Rider 12 AU 15 Years.

Joe Baxter rode the impressive ,Austin, Lilley and Baxter nomination, 'EBL Empress' (W Ellington imp USA/EBL Lush) to win the Mare Under Saddle class and go on to be declared 2019 Royal Queensland Show Champion Arabian Derivative Under Saddle.

Riley Marin is certain to return to the Ekka, and its not just the weather. The Victorian rider has had a super show and today he won the class for Boy Rider 15 AU 17 Years and went on to be declared Champion Senior Boy Rider.

Kaycee Wallen rode her, 'Timeless Classy Affair' (Ervine's Rolex/Silky Milk) to win the class for Australian Stock Horse Under Saddle and go on to claim the Champion Australian Stock Horse Hack award.

Mark Lilley is pictured with the Riverglen Pony Stud's hugely successful, 'Riverglen Zion' (Koora-Lyn Acclaim/R Zephyryn) that today was declare Champion Arabian Derivative Stallion/Colt. Earlier in the show Zion was Supreme Australian Pony and Supreme Australian Saddle Pony as well as winning his Under Saddle classes.
