2013 Adelaide Royal Show

Sadly the crowd did not gather for what was a super Galloway Championsip.The 9am scheduling on the last day of the show did not help.

Jason James rode Jane Shaw's super successful Galloway, 'Royalwood Concerto' to win the class for Galloway 14.2-15hh and claim the Eleda Park Yeoman Prize for Champion Galloway Hack.

Samantha Kennedy is pictured aboard, Jayne Giersch's Heavyweight Galloway winner, 'Realism' during the Galloway Hack Championship first up this morning.

Katrina Kearns rode Graham Elliott's very well performed, 'Holly's Galaxy' to win the class for Lightweight Galloway and work beautifully to claim the Adelaide 2013 Reserve Galloway Hack Championship.

Jessica Dunn rode her well performed, 'Montilla' to win the class for Child's Hack. Montilla has won classes with three riders and on the strength of his considerable achievement at Adelaide, he won the Lyn dale Stables Prize for Most Successful Horse in All Hack Classes.

Victoria Fricker rode the Corumbene Stud's, 'Corumbene Impressionable' to take second place in the strong class for Child's Galloway.

Popular showing competitor, Laura Thomas rode her 15-16hh Show Hunter winner, 'On Fire' to take out the 2013 Adelaide Royal Show Hunter Horse Championship.

Breanna Forster rode her , 'Willowcroft Regal Delight' to take sixth place in the class for Child's Galloway on the last morning of the successful and mostly sunny 2013 Royal Adelaide Show.

Darryl Hayes looks very much at home aboard Sadie Michell's splendid, 'History'. Second in the 15-16hh Show Hunter class, the handsome and eye catching grey came in to work for Reserve and claimed the runner up award.

Busy all show and still busy on the last day, Brynie Lee who turned 13 during the show, rode her 'Silkwood Sublime' to win the Owner/Rider Galloway class.

Georgia Adams has had a good show with her, 'Riversea Park Repertoire' and today took out the class for Child's Galloway Hack.

Margot Haynes had two rides in the Hack Championship and she is pictured aboard Vicky Lawrie and Jill Best's, 15.2-16hh winner 'Worldly'.

Heidi Pickstock rode Dale Plumb's very well performed show horse, 'DP Amazing' to win the class for Open Hack 16-16.2hh and claim the 2013 Adelaide Royal Reserve Champion Hack award.

Margot Haynes is pictured working out in the Hack Championship riding Bruce Flood's, Over 16.2hh winner, 'Coventry'. With some help from Chris Lawrie who rode the horse on the circle, 'Coventry' was declared 2013 Adelaide Royal Champion Hack.

Chanele Hunter and her lovely, 'Crewe' earned their berth in the Hack Championship ride off today by winning the class for Lightweight Hack this morning.

Briony Payne rode the Burns and Banks nomination and her long time Galloway mount, 'Wesswood Royal Caste' to win the class for Lady's Galloway. Briony, winner of the class for Lady Rider 30 Years and Over (but only just) went on to be declared Reserve Champion Lady Rider.

Naomi Karutz from Two Wells in SA won the class for Lady Rider 18-21 Years and is pictured during the Championship workout.

Ali Berwick is pictured aboard her own and Samantha McMaster's, 'Xlerate' that won the class for Heavyweight Hack. Ali won the class for Lady Rider 21-30 Years and rode the beautiful big horse to claim the 2013 Adelaide Royal Lady Rider Championship.

Isabelle Barker was second to the Champion Lady Rider and is pictured, as is her right, trying to claim the Reserve Championship. Alas she did not, but Isabelle none the less rode very well.

The third and final round of the Castle Tavern Section Fours saw the Murray Bridge Hunt Club Team take third place overall.

The beautifully presented South East Riding Club Team make a super stylish and together jump during the third round of the Castle Tavern Section Fours. They took second place in the overall competition.

The Southern Eyre Hunt Club Team put in a consistent performance over three rounds to take out the Castle Tavern Section Fours competition and with it the $1000 first prize.
