Australasian Show Horse & Rider Championships

Riley Kent has impressed with his riding for many years and today claimed the 2018 Rider 18-25 Years National Championship for Queensland.

No stranger to National awards, Abby Heffer riding for Victoria was declared Runner Up Rider 18-25 Years.

Shilo Harvey representing NSW took out the Rider 15-17 Years Runner Up award.

Mikayla Vankampen representing Queensland rode the lovely , 'Divcavalli Rory' to take third place in the Rider 15-17 Years Championship.

Ava Halloran has made a successful transition form ponies to horses and big ones at that. Representing Victoria Ava claimed the 2018 Rider 15-17 Years Championship.

Certainly no stranger to National success, Briony Randle rode Emily Murray's, 'Monument Park Superstar' to claim the 2018 National Small Galloway Championship for Victoria.

Representing NSW, Taylah Hutchinson rode her, 'Burnbrae Park Talisman' to take third place in the National Small Galloway Championship.

Georgia Fairweather representing Queensland rode her well performed, 'Gordon Park Supanova' to take out the 2018 Small Galloway Runner Up award.

Riding for Queensland, Adam Oliver rode Emma Ashton's, 'Cruze' to take out the 2018 Large Show Hunter Galloway Runner Up award.

Michelle Bowden representing Western Australia rode her, 'Broadwater Park Toy Soldier' to take out the 2018 National Large Show Hunter Galloway award. They are pictured with judge, Jade Pollard from NSW.

So far a short but brilliant career for Leah Walsh's, 'KP Royal Prince' by Royalwood Boy Soprano. Ridden by Simon Deleeuw and representing NSW, Royal Prince was declared 2018 National Champion Small Hack receiving the Pauline Van Heythuysen Memorial Trophy.

Representing Queensland, Kirsty Harper-Purcell rode her, 'Worldly' to take third place in the National Small Hack Championship.

Riding for Victoria, Greg Mickan rode Terry Van Heythuysen's, 'Stateyourbusiness' to claim the 2018 National Small Hack Runner Up award.

What a year for Victorian rider, Rebecca Farrow. The 2018 Garryowen winner today took out the National Senior Rider Over 21 Championship.

Crystal Taya Anderson representing Western Australia took out the 2018 Senior Rider over 21 Years Runner Up award.

Representing South Australia, Margot Haynes rode Victoria Cameron's, 'Beechwood Caste In Gold' to take out the 2018 Large Galloway Championship Runner Up award.

Sarah Ryan's beautiful, 'Holly's Galaxy' today claimed a hat trick of National Large Galloway Championships. The gelding by Fernleigh Fine Print took out the title in 2013, 2017 and again today.

Riding for Queensland, Melissa Sambrooks claimed third place in the 2018 Large Galloway Championship riding her, 'Carlingford Park Double Take'.

Millie Hooper from South Australia claimed third place in the 2018 National Small Show Hunter Hack Championship with her, 'SLM Mastermind'.

Victoria Gorst representing Victoria rode Susan Gorst's, 'Grets' to take out the 2018 National Small Show Hunter Hack Championship.

Abbey Lovell and her ever popular, 'Dicavalli Rory' representing Queensland took out the 2018 National Small Show Hunter Hack Runner Up award.

Celeste Mills representing WA rode her 'Wynara Red Hot Special" to third place in the Show Hunter Galloway Championship over 14hh and NE 14.2hh.

Representing Victoria, Lauren Ferraro rode Nina Meszaros', ' well performed, 'Kamilaroi Wizard Town' to take out the National Small Show Hunter Galloway Runner Up award. They are pictured with judge, Elizabeth Greshner.

Representing Queensland, a delighted Mikayla Vankampen rewards Amanda Edwards', 'Saravale Focused' after claiming back to back Small Show Hunter Galloway Championships.

Riding for South Australia, Alana Richards took out the the National Large Show Hunter Hack Runner Up award with her Fishermans Friend gelding, 'Ribbleton France'. Earlier in the day, Alana took third place in the Rider 18-25 Championship.

Representing NSW, Jess Stones rode Matilda Longbottom's, 'Power Play' By Regal Poetry In Motion to take third place in the National Large Show Hunter Hack Championship.

You can't keep a good man down! Veteran of many successful trips to the Nationals, Chris Lawrie representing South Australia rode his, 'Royal' to claim the Ego Sunsense 2018 National Large Hack Runner Up award. Royal was a successful race horse, winning his last race just 12 months ago.

Representing South Australia, Jessica Burns rode her Large Hack, 'Macquarie' that raced as Boldly Go to win the Ridden Off The Track Thoroughbred class on Friday Night

Riding for NSW, Jess Stones and her , 'Taittinger' produced the workout of the class to take out the Ego Sunsense 2018 National Large Hack Championship. Jess and the besutifully educated black horse won this title in 2016.

Successful South Australian representative, Samantha Kennedy rode her, 'Yindala Park Twilight' to take third place in the Large Show Hunter Galloway Championship. Sam had a successful day and went on to also take third place in the Senior Rider Championship.
