Belinda Isbister and 'Justamint' from New Zealand make a beautiful jump early on the CCI** course. They only added 2.8 time penalties to move from 29th to 15th after the cross country phase.

Megan Jones with her characteristic determined look, guides Glenn Wallace's 'Kirby Park Fedwell' by Allegro Con Brio, over the C4 Architects Stable. They made a perfect run across country to be in third place on 54.10 heading in to the CCI** showjumping. Megan is also in CCI**** third place with 'Kirby Park Allofasudden' that added just four time penalties to an otherwise great cross country trip and heads in to the showjumping with 53.10 penalties.

Both Dale Flynn and 'RSB Irish Eclipse' look a little surprised to be jumping the Haigh's Chocolate Box. Surprised or not, they jumped clear to move from 18th to 10th with 63.20 penalties.

Sadly Victorian Edith Kane had a fall from 'ESB Irish Justice' later in the course, and as a consequence of the new 2008 rule that results in elimination for the first fall, they played no further part in the CCI** competition after fence 18.

Well-known Victorian globetrotter, Emily Anker and 'ESB Irish Accent' make a big effort over the Saddleworld Ditch and Brush during the CCI** cross country.. Sadly Emily decided to retire just a few fenced further on.

With a great CCI** cross country run, Hamish Cargill and 'Agent Arthur' moved up into the money, from 12 to eighth with 57.80.

Chloe Hughes and 'Balmoral Hi Road' are pictured over fence 17, part of the troublesome Brilliant Blend Cheese Corner. They added just 2.8 time penalties to an otherwise great round to move from 25th to 13th in the CCI**.

Saran Ingham from Queensland rode her ex Victorian horse, 'Wenlock Lodore' to jump clear around the CCI** cross country. However, they made their trip a little slowly for the addition of 16.4 time penalties. They head in to the showjumping phase tomorrow in 14th place with 78.30 penalties.

Lauren Balcomb and the ex Boyd Martin horse,'Kootamootoo' by Salute held on to the lead in the CCI**, despite this rather awkward jump exiting the main arena. They added nothing to their dressage score, 45.60 to hang on to the lead by 0.30.

Popular Victorian rider, Wil Enzinger made a splash with Melanie Hilton's 'BWS Eagle'. Due to the refurbishment of the Rymill Park Lake the water played little part in the cross country test. Will produced a perfect run to head in to the CCI** showjumping phase in second place, just by 0.30 penalties.

Third after the dressage, George Sheridan and 'Woznme' (pronounced "wasn't me") had rather an eventful CCI** cross country run for two refusals and the addition of 8.4 time penalties. They dropped down the leader board to 20th.

Wendy Schaeffer is constantly in the equestrian news. She is pictured with 'Koyuna Sun Dancer' during the CCI**** cross country. She produced a perfect trip to be in fourth place with 53.50 penalties. Wendy did likewise with 'Koyuna Sun Shine' for fifth place with 54.60 penalties. With just 2.1 penalties separating the first five the showjumping phase tomorrow will be exciting.

Robert Palm took 'He's The One' carefully around the CCI**** cross country course. Clear on jumping, they added 38.4 time penalties to be in 12th place heading to the showjumping tomorrow.

Marcia Williamson and 'Kalason' stopped the traffic outside the Stag Hotel. They are pictured easily negotiating the much talked about Channel 7 Logo corner. They added 15.2 time penalties to be in CCI**** seventh place with 67.60.

Ali Foye and 'Bondir' made the much talked about Adelaide City Ducks ab look all too easy. The acute angle from duck to duck was made more so by the addition of the nest of eggs. By and large it posed no problem at all for the CCI**** competitors.

South Australian combination, Luke Jones and 'Soul' had some catching up to do after the CCI**** dressage phase. They did their best by posting one of four penalty free trips across country. They are now in the money in ninth place with 76.50 penalties.

Victorian combination, Natalie Davies and 'Chatswood Sharp Move' fell foul of the clock by just one second. But the consequential addition of 0.4 time penalties was all they added to their dressage score to be in second place on 52.40 heading in to the CCI**** showjumping phase tomorrow.

Christopher Burton and 'Newsprint' just missed out on a trip to Hong Kong for the Beijing Olympics. They are determined not to miss out on winning their first Four Star start. Chris and 'Newsprint' jumped a perfect round to head in to the showjumping phase in first place with 52 penalties.

Assistant Eventing Showjumping Coach, Sam Lyle added ten time penalties riding 'Interwin'. It was enough to drop them from fifth to sixth in the CCI****competition with 63 penalties. We should expect no such time delay tomorrow.

Kirsty Withers and 'Exmoor Truffles' from South Australia look good early on the CIC** cross country course. Unfortunately they retired later on the course.

Young Queensland rider, Emma Dougall rode Kevin McNab's 'Major James' to add just six time penalties on the CIC** cross country course. They head into the showjumping phase tomorrow in sixth place with 67.60 penalties.

Victorian rider, Jessie McCann rode her 'RM Braveheart' for the addition of 10.8 cross country time penalties. They head to the final CIC** showjumpinf phase tomorrow in 11th place with 74.90 penalties.

Victorian combination, Mark Slater and 'Astro' look all business as they negotiate the CIC** cross country course. They added just 3.60 time penalties to be in seventh place with 68 penalties.

Lara Pizimolas and 'Classic Eclipse' make a huge leap over this fence on the CIC** cross country course. They seem to be thinking the same thing as they contemplate the course ahead. One refusal for the addition of 20 penalties as well as 21.2 time penalties saw them in 14th place (actually an improvement after the dressage 17th) heading in to the showjumping.

South Australian, Sarah Clark and 'Red Sun Rising' look a little awkward over this fence , but despite a refusal and time penalties, they are still in the CIC** race and head into to tomorrow's showjumping phase in 15th place.

Crystal Conning and her typey 'Marcus Aurelius' wasted no time to post a clear, clear run around the CIC** course. They moved from 15th to fifth for their efforts and head in to the showjumping with 67.20 penalties.

Tracey Savage and 'Gambler Boy' look well in charge of the situation over this fence. However, they were sadly eliminated from the CIC** competition later in the course.

Not surprisingly Shane Rose and 'Stratford Novalis' posted a perfect run to retain the lead in the CIC**. On 46.60 they have just over a one fence buffer going in to the showjumping.

Lucy Yeomans and 'Im A Skite' improved their CIC** position from 20th after the dressage to eighth after a perfect cross country run.

Kevin McNab and 'Kelecyn Stiff Drinks' look all business as they jump out of the main arena. They added just 2.4 time penalties to move from fourth to third place with 58 penalties heading in to the CIC** showjumping phase.
