Gemma Creighton from Queensland, rode Its Mitch in the first Round of the Young Rider Championship.

Huge Buchanan rode Its Seabreeze in the first round of the Young Rider Championship. Junior, Young Riders and Seniors have two qualifing classes, before the qualified riders move into the Sunday final.

Former dual Australian Showjumping Champion, Vicki Roycroft rode her imported Kartoon de Breve in the first round of the Senior Championship.

Hilary Scott from NSW rode her Oaks Miss Scarlet in the first round of the Senior Championship.

Sharon Slater from NSW and her imported CP Ulixes seemed to spend too much time in the air today to finish in the top ten. However, with plenty of scope and good recent form, 11th place today has then looking good for Sunday.

Jamie Winning and Yandoo Quincy Z (pictured) did not have such a great day today in the first round of the Senior Championship. However, Jamie did ride Yandoo Spotnik NZPH to win the first event of the Silver Tour in ring 2.

Jamie Kermond rode Yandoo Laughtons Legacy to finish in second place in the Senior Championship first qualifier.

Steph Davies and Saddle Up Valenttine competed in the first round of the Young Rider Championship.

Kristy Bruhn from Mt Gambier in South Australia, rode Belcam Cosmic to tenth place in the first round of the Senior Championship. Kristy followed this by riding Harbarty to win the class.

Amanda Madigan rode Chris Chugg's, Diamond B Vigo in the first round of the Senior Championship.

Tim Clarke and Caltango produced a quick round to finish in fifth place in the first qualifying round of the senior Championship.

After a wonderful Adelaide Royal show, Nicole Bruggemann produced another good round aboard Twins Zenitrh to take fourth place in the first round of the Young Rider Championship.

With lots of predictions of doom and gloom about holding the Australian Showjumping Championships on the polocrosse grounds at Werribee Park in September, the Jumping Victoria committee has produced a wonderful looking event so far. With a lot of work on the ground, the footing seems perfect, Today there only seemed to be positive comments from traders, riders and sponsors.

Olivia Hamood from Queensland rode a perfect round aboard GH Eternal Flame to finish is second place in the first round of the Young rider Championship. Olivia's horse goes into quarantine on Monday before they head to Europe.
