Today the ASHS really played its trump card, with over 100 young riders mounted on versatile, sound horses, that did everything from Hacking to Bending Races. The horses and riders went from one competition to another, enthusiastically competing in each event.

I have not seen a Bonfield Bounce before but it is a great competition to teach children how to ride. Tyler Berkley and Brigalow Rivers give the hay bale plenty of air in the Bonfield Bounce 8 and under 11 years. This timed event combines jump back wards and forwards over a row of hay bales with bending poles to negotiate after each jump. The kids who did it really well were impressive.

412 Jock Capel and Ophir Symphony posted a fast time in the Bending Race 13 and under 15 years.

232 Regan Weightman and Eastlynne Pirouette head for home in the Bending Race 13 to 15 years.
