"If I had wings I could fly". Laurie Lever and the wonderful Ashleigh Drossel Dan by Drossleklang II get airbourne duting the Elysian Gold Classic Final. Only one time penalty in the first round kept this combination from a perfect score. They finished in second place.

David Dobson with the New Zealand bred stallion by Calvaos, 'Pico Bello' jumping in the Elysian Gold Classic Final. The stallion is a relatively new ride for David and it will be interesting to watch their progress.

New Zealand combination, Sue Thompson and 'Air Hill The Rajah' jumped well to take seventh place in the Elysian Gold Classic Final.

Show Director, Ulrich Klatte dressed for the occasion on the Finals Day of the Elysian Fields Showjumping Classic. It is good to see that he is still smiling after two weeks of competition.

In all the years I have been watching showjumping, I have never seen a rider walk the course with the aid of crutchers. Laurie Lever looked a little worse for wear, but improved dramatically when he stepped aboard his super Ashleigh Drossel Dan.

South Australian rider, Amy Graham had a super show with her (yes it is imported) gelding from Ireland, 'Transatlantic'. They took third place in the Silver Classic Final.

Vicki Roycroft and 2006 Silver Classic winner, 'Ricardo D' , an imported gelding by Concorde, had to settle for second place this year. It was a very consistent effort.

Gold Medal Oympic Eventing rider, Wendy Schaeffer had a great show over the two weeks at Elysian Fields. Wendy rounded of her successes by taking fifth place in the Silver Classic Final with her Magestic Supreme mare, 'Koyuna Sun Set'.

This picture shows just why Jenny Sheppard and 'Licara R' qualified first for the Silver Classic Final. Both Jenny and the imported Accord II mare were coming off an injury lay off (both from broken bones) and finished out of the placings in the Silver Classic Final.

The eye-catching, 'Argyle Stables Indigo' is a miracle of modern science. The gelding, is an embryo transfer out of AEA Dutch Gem by the Dutch stallion, Indoctro. Indigo, ridden by David Dobson was sixth in the Silver Classic Final.

Billy Raymont from Cooroy and 'KG Ampolla' by the Dutch stallion, Athletico, make a beautiful jump during the Silver Classic Final.

Michelle Barrera rode the Australian Sporthorse Breeders super, imported Indorado mare, 'Alondra' to make the te Silver Classic Final. It was a good effort from the Sydney University student as she has been applying herself to her studies and has not spent so much time in the saddle in recent months.

Young Rider, Anna McGregor from Western Australia did well to make the Silver Classic Final with 'Mandarin', her Thoroughbred by Jevington.

Hilary Scott from The Oaks in NSW jumped four and eight to take seventh place in the tough Silver Classic Final riding Alice Cameron's lovely, (imported) mare 'Oaks Pro Ratina' by Pro Ratio.

Matthew Whalley from Morayfield in Queensland was one of the younger riders to make the Silver Classic Final. Matthew is pictured mid flight aboard his 'Royal Signature'.

Popular local rider, Adam Mellers made the Silver Classic Final riding the impressive, and yes imported mare, 'Carinthe Z'

Beaudesert rider, Merrick Ubank with his Thoroughbred, 'Dover Street' jumping in the Silver Classic Final.

Emily Blinkworth jumped five and clear to take fourth place in the Sculptured Earth Landscape and Design Silver Classic Final riding her super, imported 'CP Rolex'.

Julia Hargreaves capped off a great show with victory in the Sculptured Earth Landscape and Design Silver Classic Final, jumping the only double clear aboard her in form, imported 'Haymen'.

It's a case of "look mum, no hands" as 'Vivant ' jumps for joy during his victory gallop with delighted rider, Chriss Chugg.

Tim Amitrano from Cooroy and the delightful and takented Quarter Horse cross, 'Mr Innocent' jumped four and clear to take third place in the Elysian Gold Classic Final

Vicki Roycroft's scopey 'Infatuation' makes easy work of this oxer during the Gold Classic Final. The 2006 winners had to settle for sixth place this year.

Becly Allen and he Brilliant Invader gelding, 'Koyuna Ted' make a super jump over the baithing pigs oxer. They jumped eight and eight to take eighth place in the Elysian Gold Classic Final.

Chris Chugg and the Australian Sporthorse Breeders sensational imported and typey stallion, 'Vivant' by Fuego du Prelet demonstrate the form that saw them jump the only double clear to claim the 2007 Elysian Gold Classic Final.

David Robertson and his talented Imperial Seal jumper, 'Sharpe Seal' looked good early in the course, but luck was not with them for the Gold Classic Final and this successful combination finished out of the money.

'Wirregulla Nicklaus' had an unfortunate and untimely to say the least,spook on course during the Gold Classic Final. Unfortunatly three fences came down before Nick became more biddable for rider Paul Athanasoff. They are seen here taking care of the money.

Katie Mc Vean did the best of the New Zealand contingent to take fifth place in the Elysian Gold Final, jumping eight and eight riding 'Dunstan Hairy McClairy'.
