WEG Team members, Matthew Dowsley and 'Cinderella' performed an entertaining Pas de Deux with Para Equestrian rider, Emma Bennett riding her 'Prime Time'. Clearly at the halt, they were both very pleased with themselves.
Paula Price from Queensland with her 'APH True Seville' which performed well demonstrating super passage and piaffe and a great score to take second place in the Bates Grand Prix Freestyle with 67.85%. Paula continued her good form to win the EFA Grand Prix Special on Sunday morning with 63.96%.
Renee Pedretti and 'Sunbury Lodge Thomas' from Victoria got off to a slow start, but warmed into their Bates Grand Prix Freestyle test to produce some good work for eighth place on 63.66%
Rozzie Ryan demonstrated great feel and finesse in the Grand Prix Freestyle riding Susie Duddy's lovely imported mare by Donnerhall, 'Donna Carrera'. They earned fourth place with 66.65%.
Heath Ryan with Dr Margaret Evan's charming imported Rubinstein stallion, 'Regardez Moi'. They took sixth place in the Bates Grand Prix Freestyle with 64.95%.
Grand Prix winners, Nadia Coghlan and 'Nothern Campion' did not quite find the form that saw them win their first up Grand Prix start back in the land of Oz. With the help of Dire Straits this promising combination took third place in the Bates Freestyle with 66.90%.
Brett Parbery and Dr Kerry Mack's 'Whisper IV' are really on the move. Brett won his first ever Grand Prix Freestyle, his first win and his first start. Second in the Grand Prix and first in the Freestyle with 70.80% Brett and Whisper IV were declared 2006 Australian Grand Prix Dressage Champions.
Robbie Soster from NSW rode her charming 'Robali Irish Cream' to earn 62.05% and fifth place in the first ever Auatralian FEI Young Rider World Cup Qualifier.
Victorian rider Sheree McConachy, who trains with Renee Pedretti made a very good impression with her 'The Carrock Victor' in the FEI Young Rider World Cup Qualifier for sixth place with 61.60%.
Alyssa Webb from NSW rode her Gullit gelding, 'UQG Galahad' to take second place in the first Australian FEI Young Rider World Cup Qualifier on 64.10%.
Anglo Arabian, 'Sienna Tailor Made' is really putting his best foot forward for his owner/rider, Jessica Willard for third place in the FEI Young Rider World Cup Qualifier with 63.35%.
Jodie Newell rode her Thoroughbred cross by The Godson, 'Bridgford Princess' for fourth place in the first Australian FEI Young Rider World Cup Qualifier.
