NSW Country Showjumping Championships

The Perisher Station Resort was home for a week for a gypsy caravan of showjumpers. The Resort was a very welcoming host venue for the Snowy Mountain Showjumping Festival and the 700 plus horses that came along. It was even possible to have your horse at your motel room door.

Kelly Slater had a fantastic final Young Rider year, finishing at the top of the Tekna Leaderboard last year. Kelly has started her first senior year well with a victory already in the 1.30m class at Jindabyne. Today she rode her ex Ally Lamb mare, 'Silverton' to take third place in the Mini Prix.

It is not often one sees a quadruple on a jumping course these days, but Snowy Mountains Showjumping Festival Ring 1 course designer, Leeson Sirret put the challenging combination in the final round of the NSW Country Showjumping Championships.  Grant Hughes and 'Yakity Yak' are pictured coming out over D. The combination consisted of vertical, oxer, vertical, oxer set one stride apart.

Clint Beresford has had a great show. He is pictured riding his , 'Emmaville Jitterbug' that won Round 2 of the NSW Country Championships yesterday and took third place today. Clint and Jitterbug were declared 2014 NSW Country Showjumping Champions and also claimed the Triple Crown of showjumping.

Twenty year old Tom McDermott put in a vintage performance riding Carole Mason's, imported gelding, twenty year old 'CP Rolex' to win the final round of the NSW Country Showjumping Championships. Tom claimed the NSW Country Runner Up title riding his , 'Statford Delight' that took fourth place in the final round.

Jess Stalling and her 'Diamond B Vermont' contemplate the journey in front of them down the quadruple combination. Jess and Vermont jumped a super double clear to take second place in the NSW Country Championships. Jess and her talented Vivant gelding were also second in the Bega Cup and placed at Canberra and took out the Triple Crown Runner Up award.
