Sarah Hooke proudly shows off her newly sashed Australian Saddle Pony of the Year, Sandown Musical Note (Courtland Boy Blue (IMP) x Sydney Success). Later in the day Lindy Walker rode Sandown Musical Note to be declared Champion Ridden Australian Saddle Pony.

Four year old Isabella Doyle with the help of Louise Doyle, rode Stenbury Park's, Woranora Prima Donna to take third place in the Mountain and Moorland Leading Rein Pony ne 12hh.

Emily MacIntosh rode her own and B and A Charlton's, Erinskay Capercaillie and is pictured during the judging of the APSB and Welsh Show Hunter Mare or Gelding over 13.2 ne 14hh.

Elizabeth Tomlinson presented K Booth and KB Browbands, JL Country Charm (Mount View Kiyatta x Glenmore Trinket) to be declared Reserve Champion Senior Australian Saddle Pony Gelding.

Guner Family and Langenhoe Park's, Langenhoe Park Malibu took third place in the APSB and Welsh Show Hunter Mare or Gelding over 12hh and ne 13hh.

Laura Thompson rode T Steadman-Towell's, Iona Park Maestro to win the APSB and Welsh Show Hunter Mare or Gelding over 12hh and ne 13hh.

The Ayton family's nomination of Creswll Hansel was placed fourth in the APSB and Welsh Show Hunter Mare or Gelding ne 12 hands.

Melinda De Rooy rode her own Saradale Crusades to take out the APSB and Welsh Show Hunter Mare or Gelding over 14 hands.

Jade Jones-Ryan rode her own and NSJ Ponies', well performed stallion Bamorough Paramont to be delared Champion in the APSB and Welsh Show Hunter.

Jessica Waite and Koora-Lyn Odette were placed second in the APSB and Welsh Show Hunter Mare or Gelding over 12hh and ne 13hh.

Christian Akehurst presented his own colt, Gem Park Orlando (Langtree Connoisseur x Little Paddocks Dion) to take out the Part Welsh Pony of the Year.

Samantha Tyre rode her own and the Koorana Pony Stud's, Koorana African Prince to be declared Runner Up Ridden Australian Pony of the Year.

Lindy Walker riding Marena Stud's, Marena Twilights won the Ridden Australian Pony over 13 hh and ne 14hh.

Brooke Stevenson rode her own and Bamborough Pony Stud's, Bamorough September Song to be declared Champion Ridden Australian Pony of the Year.

S Lee and J Bates', Drasna Chance took second place in the Ridden Australian Pony 13 hh ne 14hh.

Katrina O'Brien's, Buena Vista Valkyrie was placed third in the Ridden Australian Pony 13 hh and ne 14hh.

The Bragg Family and Redlands Stables', well performed Kolbeach Promise was placed second in the Ridden Part Welsh Mare or Filly 12.2 hh and ne 13.2hh.

The Rivett Family's, Pearl of Marconi competed in the Ridden Part Welsh Mare or Filly over 12.2 hh and not exceeding 13.2hh.

Nine year old, Shelby Bragg rode G Cooke and Redland Stables', Redland Outrageous to second place in the Ridden Australian Saddle Pony 13.2 hh and ne 14hh.

Melissa Melton rode Marena Stud's, Kolbeach Royal Print to win the Ridden Australian Saddle Pony Stallion or Colt over 13.2hh and ne 14.2hh.

Paige Peters rode, with the help of Amanda Woods, the Queensland nomination of Bordershow Pony Stud's, Bordershow Dandelion to take out the Runner Up APSB and Welsh Leading Rein Pony of the Year.

Shelley Bragg rode Tasma Harper's, Del-Lee Oscar from Western Australia to be declared Runner Up APSB and Welsh Child's First Ridden pony of the Year.

Chelsea Garland did the riding and Debbie Wood did the running with Amanda Taylor and Tallarook Park's, Gordon Park Music Box to take out the ABSB and Welsh Leading Rein Pony of the Year. This pony has come all the way from Western Australia. Later in the day Ryley Cladingboal took over the riding to take out the APSB and Welsh Child's First Ridden Pony of the Year.

Kate Sawall rode B. Shine's, Woranora Cherokee to second place in the Mountain and Moorland ABSB and Welsh Child's First Ridden.

Lisa Goodall and Wyatt Park Stud's, Jackafeela Montana Gold competed in the Mountain and Moorland APSB and Welsh Child's First Ridden.

Anthony Pauling presented his own and Paulgren Park's, Paulgren Park Phoenix (Cherrington Sir Dirk x Centaine of Marceau) to take out Part Welsh Gelding of the Year.

Mark Brown was on the run with Brooke Stevenson's, Bamborough Memorize (Boston Bittermint (Imp) x Bamborough Memories) to take out the Champion Senior Part Welsh Gelding.

Anthony Mountney presented Bronwyn Stoner's (mother of professional motorcycle racer Casey Stoner) newly purchased colt, Baringa Hallmark (Janevelyn Madrs x Baringa Amazing Grace) to take out the Runner Up Australian Saddle Pony of the Year.

Well known competitor and judge, Margaret Fricker presided over the Australian Saddle Ponies and Ridden Australian Ponies on the first day of the inaugural National Pony of the Year Show. Margaret shows off some of the wonderful prizes on offer, it was unfortunate more competitors did not take advantage of attending and supporting this well run show.
