2008 Royal Melbourne Summer Horse Show

Nicole Downs from the Gisborne and District ARC won the Ridden Andalusian Championship at the Summer Royal a couple of day ago. Again riding her impressive 'Mellizo' Nicole demonstrates just why, with victory in the HRCAV Level 2 Mount over 15.2hh class.

Mandy Ruggles representing the Spring Plains Equestrian Club, rode her 'Half Moon My Choice' to win the Level 5 Mount class and later went on to claim the Reserve Champion Level 4and 5 Mount Championship.

'Brothers in arms", Navec Lorkin with 'White Hope of Half Moon' and Kacey Ansell with 'Half Moon Sixteen Candles'. Both horses are by the Cremello, Half Moon Ivory Tower and both were representing the Spring Plains Equestrian Club.

Another well-know showing rider in action on Pony Club day, Abby Heffer from Beveridge and District PC rode her , 'Barina Endeavour' to win the Pony Club Rider 9-12 years class and go on to claim the PC Rider Championship.

Ashleigh Glascott representing the Bendigo Pony Club won the Rider 12-14 Years and went on to take out the Reserve Champion Pony Club Rider award.

Adelia March-Maddams and 'Owendale Roundabout' from Karaella South PC managed what many could not in the Pony Club Mount 12-14hh class, and that was jump the little obstacle pictured. They took third place in the class.

Grace Joel and 'Merrindale Ffantasy' representing the Alexandra and District PC won the tough Pony Club Mount 12-14hh class.

Julie Scougall and her 'River Road Jonathan' representing the Swan Hill PC managed to win back to back Pony Club Handy Mount over 14hh.

Elizabeth Ketly from Emu Creek Pony Club was a little shy, but eventually agreed to pose for a photo during the Pony Club and HRCAV action at Werribee today.

Sophie Fox representing the Mansfield Pony Club rode her 'Thorwood Dixieland' to take second place in the Smartest On Parade for riders 9 and under 12 Years.

Morgan Marshall from the Bendigo Pony Club rode her Australian Stock Horse, 'Mystery Lane' to win the RAS Special Pony Club Competition. The horse/rider combinations were judged on Presentation, Flat Riding, Jump Riding and Handy Mount Riding.

Maddy McCarty teamed up with a very experienced 26 year-old, 'Moorooduc Park Kendrick' to take fifth place in the Handy Mount class for riders under 12 years.

Michelle Coxall representing the Gisborne ARC rode her 'Ricardo' to win the HRCAV Smartest On Parade Level 3 15.2hh and Under.

Melissa Benson who is blind rode very well to claim the RDA Division 4 Best Rider award with the help of her 19 year-old, 'Twin Peaks'.

Allana Adams representing the Kyabram Pony Club, took second place in the Smartest On Parade Under 9.

Well-known showing competitor, Penny Smith representing Camperdown Pony Club, rode her 'Leewood Oliver Twist' to win the 12-14 years class and take out the Smartest On Parade Championship.

Keisha Mills representing the Alexandra and District PC rode her 'Shadmoor Solitaire' to win the Smartest On parade 14-16 Years.

Jade Falcone from Dandenong Rangers PC was clearly delighted to be at the Summer Royal, and even more delighted that her pony 'Micky' at last managed to get his ears forward.

Regular RDA Summer Royal competitor, Will Heagney rode 'Africa' to win his Rider Class and was second in the Best Mount,, to claim the RDA High Point Award.

Jenna Milner from the South Eastern Dressage Club rode her 'Walk This Way ' to win the Level 3 Rider class and go on to take out the Level 1,2 and 3 HRCAV Rider Championship

Catriona McCallum from Macarthur PC had some trouble persuading her 'Cosmic Sparkling Starlight' to walk through the "noodles" during the Handy PC Mount class. The polystyrene floaties proved to be the downfall of many who attempted the class.

Jamie -Lee Parker and 'Buttons' representing Healesville PC took sixth place in the Pony Club Handler Under 9.

Samantha Rennie and her 'Half Moon Beetles Choice' representing the Shepparton PC won the Pony Cub Handler 9-12 class.

Zoe Mumford representing the Tallarook Family Riding Club rode her 'Voodoo Val' to wiin the HRCAV Level 3 Ridden Mount 15.2hh and Under.

Jill Kellock from the Goulburn Equestrian Club rode her 'Marena Brave Dance' to take second place in the HRCAV Level 3 Mount 15.3hh and Under.

Sarah French representing the Riddles Creek PC rode her 'Averdon Othello' to win the class for Pony Club Riders 16 years and Over.

Zoe Murray from the Euroa PC rode her 'Nattai Gwyn' to win the class for Pony Club Riders Under 9Years.

Daina Howard from the Boolarra PC was having a great day with her 21 year old, 'Mattaffin Court Me'. They won their Pony Club Handler Under 9 class and are pictured on their way to fourth place in the PC Rider Under 9.

Darcie Row from the Corio/Moorabool PC won the Pony Club Handler 12-14 Years with her 'Kingsfred Pippin and went on to claim the Pony Club Handler Championship.

Nerolea Crossfield representing the Swan Hill PC took second place in the Handler 12-14 Years with her 'Uhavta Mastermind' and went on to take out the Reserve Handler Championship.

Michelle Kreusel was just "pleased to be here" with her 'Top Gear'. Winning the HRCAV Level 4 Ridden Mount over 15.2hh was "a bonus".

Kerrianne Bilson from the Inverleigh Riding Club rode her good moving, 'Malibu Park Moondust' to win the HRCAV Level 2 Ridden Mount Under 15.2hh class.

Belinda Stubberfield representing the Traralgon and District ARC rode her 'Oscar' to take fourth place in the HRCAV Level 2
