Hilary Scott is pictured making a beautiful jump aboard her talented and imported mare, 'Oaks Miss Scarlet' on their way to winning the GBC Concrete and Construction Mini Prix. Not one of the eight to jump clear in the first  round could do so in the jump off with the troublesome double, 4Ab causing most of the trouble. Hilary and Miss Scarlet were the fastest with four penalties.

Chris Chugg rode Michelle Barrera's beautifully bred imported mare, 'Alondra', by Indorado out of and Emillion mare to jump four and clear to win the Sale Medical Centre World Cup Qualifier. Due to the heavy rain overnight, only the Mini Prix and World Cup classes were conducted in the main Arena. Leeson Sirret did a brilliant job of designing and preparing the track for the as always well attended qualifier. And as luck would have it the sun came out for the class.

Ally Lamb makes  a lovely jump aboard her promising World Cup mare, 'Penrose'. With a couple of fences down early , Ally did the right thing and opted to retire the mare and make the experience a good one and not a traumatic one. The mare by Icon was bred by Thea Crooke of The Holey Plain at Rosedale and is out of Thea's mare, Blackall Park Calypso. Interestingly Tim Clarke's Caltango is out of the same mare.

Jonathon Smith and his Thoroughbred, 'Sanskrit Park Vision' are pictured over the infamous 1.60m planks at fence four in the first round. This fence on inverted cups came was lowered by 12 of the 24 to start. Jon in only his third World Cup Qualifier took a very creditable seventh place.

Later in the day, Jamie thrilled the crowd, and Course Designer, Leeson Sirret by jumping the only first round clear in the Sale Medical Centre World Cup Qualifier riding Sarah Beale's talented, Alpha Centauri. The clear round earned the Alimo gelding half an MES. Sadly for the talented pair the second round was not as perfect, with a misunderstanding and a fence down resulting in the addition of nine further penalties to slip them back to eventual third place.
