Twenty year old Jonathon Smith from the Western District in Victoria has had a super show and he rounded it off today by winning the Calcimo Lime Young Rider Championship riding his 'Sanskrit Park Ali K'.

As always, Shane Davidson from Queensland impressed with his riding. Shane put all the good work to use by riding his 'Fairbanks Lulu' to third place in the EL and C Baillieu Futurity.

Those lucky enough to have booked a place or places in the magnificent new Sale stable barn certainly made the right call on the very wet weekend. Rain affected play on both Saturday and Sunday. The main ring was used lightly on Saturday with only the mini Prix and World Cup conducted on it. Leeson Sirret, perhaps because he was brought up with wet shown in England did a super job of finding the dry patches and creating good and up to standard jumping.
