Shetland Ponies are used to the rain and Tori Fair rode like an absolute trooper in the trying conditions to claim the Vas Ltd Open Shetland Pony Championship with the Bellman and Horspole's experienced and well performed, 'Thorpeville Trendy'.

Keyara Garraway thought her 'Pilinta Park Splender' was a little tired in the Open Shetland class today and it is no wonder as the colourful pony was both First Season and Rising Star Champion earlier in the show.

James Moloney did the honours and rode Kara Woolcock's splendid 'Pilinta Park Sterling' to take out the Vas Ltd Reserve Open Saddle Shetland award.

Bree Roberts rode the Romsey Park and Michelle Kelcey nomination, 'Melody Park King's Command' to take out the Rising Star Large Pony Reserve Championship. However that was just the prelude to the pair claiming the Vas Ltd Open large Pony Championship. The 13.2-14hh Pony is by Maximus of Astral out of Melody park English Rose.

Well known and successful showing identity, Linda Hayes is pictured riding Di McDonald and Tony Bayley's, 'Kolbeach Rosewood' in the Vas Ltd Open Small Galloway Final.

Eleisha Catalano rode the Merivale Park's, 'Merivale Park King's Ransom' to take out the Rising Star Small Pony Championship.

Bred at Arrowfield Stud and by the USA sire, Sandpit, 'Blondie McMahon' again caught the eye during the work out for the Rising Star Hack. As last year, the bright chestnut was ridden by Melinda Hosemans.

Alex Berwick rode the horse of the weekend, 'Xlerate'. The beautiful big horse by Zabeel had a former career as an eventer and was found by Lisa McMaster in the Performance Horse section of Horse Deals. .Xlerate is owned jointly by Alex Berwick and Sarah McMaster. The horse was declared Champion Rising Star Hack and Reserve Champion Vas Ltd Open Large Hack.

Kristen O'Connell produced a good workout with her , 'Claim To Fame' during the Vas Ltd Large Hack Championship.
