Victorian Dressage Championships

Shirley Watts from New Zealand rode BJK Cashmir in the Para-Equestrian Grade III Individual Test.

Julia to the resuce. Huge storms passed through Werribee Park during the afternoon, with Para-Equestrian Anne Skinner coping the worst conditions, so much so she was allowed to re-ride her test after competition was delayed 1/2 hour for the weather to clear. Para-Equestrian coach Julia Battams had to let Anne out of the arena after the gate man had run for cover. Anne finished fourth in the Para-Equestrian Grade III Individual Test.

Lizzie Wilson Fellows from NSW rode Lets Entertain to win the Advance Freestyle with a score of 66.7%.

Rachel Shiree from New Zealand rode Remini Park Emmerich to second place in the Para-Equestrian Grade III Individual Test.

Lee Horton rode her Welsh Cob Nawarrah Park Gallant in the Pony Elementary Championship.

Celina Johnson from Tasmania rode Brook Bank Barishnikof to sixth place in the Pony Elementary 3C.

Australian Team member, Sharon Jarvis from WA rode Dr Michael Proctor's beautiful imported Sandro Hit stallion, Showdown to sixth place in the Para-Equestrian Grade III Individual Test.

Sarah Fisher rode the Arabian Pony stallion Machismo C in the Elementary Pony Championship.

Erin Alberda from the USA rode Southern Cross Tamarisk to win the Para-Equestrian Grade III Individual Test.

Chelsea Higgins rode Holstein Park Comedian in the Para-Equestrian Grade III Individual Test.

Mandy Heather and her Arabian x Welsh pony, Buckwell Park Casino had no trouble with the puddles during their Pony Elementary test.

Isabella Macnamarra from NSW rode her Arab x Welsh, Eaglewood Celebrity in the Elementary Pony Championship.

Melissa Taafe riding her Riding Pony Kindlin Park Crystal, placed second in the Pony Elementary 3C.

Iiona Lawerance rode Taihoa Kingsmoor to third place in the CPEDI 3* Grade 1A Test.

Celeste Amezdroz rode her Riding Pony Newington Statement to win the Pony Elementary 3C.

Auatralian Team member, Jan Pike rode Catherine Shelley's beautiful Thoroughbred, Pinky to fourth place in the CPEDI 3* Grade 1. Pinky, who looks like he does not spend a lot of time in the rain did not seem impressed about getting wet. After Jan's test the rain got harder and the CPEDI Grade 2 test was postponed until tomorrow, delaying the team result.

Ridden as always by owner Dr. Kerry Mack, home town favourite, Mayfield Pzazz did not disappoint his many fans with a good Grand Prix Freestyle for third place with a score of 67.92%.

Maree Tomkinson riding her imported stallion Rodrigo III had the crowd awake with a new Grand Prix freestyle to AC/DC. After the test Maree announced that her own and Lyn Sultana's wonderful mare Diamantina had her Totalas foal, a bay filly (out of a surrograte mother) today.

The ever popular Heath Ryan acknowledges the enthusiastic crowd after his Grand Prix Freestyle aboard Regardez Moi. Heath scored 71.52 for second place.

Louisa Hill from New Zealand powers down the center line to start her Grand Prix Freestyle riding her powerful but inexperienced Bates Antonello. Louisa finished in third place with a score of 70.25%.

Rachael Sanna and Bev Edward's, Jaybee Alabaster booked their place in the World Cup final with a winning score of 75.12%.

Nicole Blanks from Victoria rode Just A Gem to eight place in the Para-Equestrian Grade IV Individual Test.

Hannah Dodd rode Victoria McBeath's, Waikiwi FE by Weltmeyer to win the Para-Equestrian Grade IV Individual Test with a score of 65.8%. Hannah is a member of the Australian Team competing against New Zealand for the Team position at the London Olympics. The scores from yesterday and today make up the team result. Individual team members will be announce on May the 28th after the Para Equestrian Nationals in Sydney on the 10th and 11th of May.

Krysten Lituri rode her Cartuso to equal fifth place in the Elementary 3C.

Visually impaired rider, Sue-Ellen Lovett rode her wonderful Thoroughbred, Ko-Olina to sixth place in the Para-Equestrian Grade IV Individual Test.

Heath Ryan rode Rebecca Notley's, beautiful Jive Magic gelding, Johnny Depp to third place in the Elementary Championship.

Victorian, Kate Doughty rode Heatherton Park Al Capone to fifth place in the Para-Equestrian Grade IV Individual Test.

Heather Currie from SA rode her eye catching, Emporio Van De Zwarte Mol by Gribaldi to win the Elementary Championship. Heather also won the Intermediate I Freestyle riding Donnerblitz.

Greer Moloney from Victoria rode Donna Fidera in the Elementary Championship.

Rachelle Wilson from Victoria rode CJP Winchester by Weltstar 38 (Imp) to eighth place in the Elementary Championship.
