Barastoc Press Release - Ridley announces Barastoc’s sponsorship of Jump Off for second year running

Barastoc Horse are proud to announce our sponsorship of the reality TV series, Jump Off, for the second consecutive year. The hit program offers retired racehorses a second chance at show jumping success through opportunities to compete for over $100,000 in prize money.

Eligible to any ex-racehorse and Equestrian-registered rider in Australia, Jump Off invites contestants to showcase their talents in three show jumping competitions based on each thoroughbred’s ability.

“On behalf of Barastoc, it’s a thrill to be sponsoring Jump Off for a second series,” says Barastoc Marketing Manager Alex McCall. “We pride ourselves on looking after the wellbeing of all horses throughout Australia, so to be able to promote and support the livelihood of ex-racehorses is a tremendous opportunity.”

Leveraging Barastoc’s 50+ years’ experience in formulating high quality, nutritional solutions for horses, we will also feature segments on Jump Off that spotlight the importance of nutrition for horses, and how to implement it. These will include an emphasis on Barastoc’s diet analysis - the process by which we analyse a horse’s age, workload, type and body condition, in order to customise a solution that ensures the animal receives the correct balance of nutrients for their nutritional needs.

“Nutrition is absolutely crucial to the performance of any horse,” says David Nash, Group Manager of Nutrition and Quality. “Teaming with Jump Off helps us to highlight not only this, but also how much passion Barastoc puts into the research and development which underpins our health solutions.”

Moreover, Barastoc will be running a ‘What’s Your Mane Story?’ competition, calling on Jump Off registrants to submit a video sharing the backstory of their ex-racehorse’s and their journey of transitioning into a showjumper. While displaying these videos across all digital platforms, Barastoc will offer entrants the chance to win prizes for their stories.

Jump Off series two premieres on the main Seven Network, and on-demand at 7Plus in October on Sunday 29th September.

Barastoc is proudly owned by Ridley Corporation, the nation’s largest independent supplier of high performance animal nutrition solutions that support food producers in the poultry, dairy, aquaculture, pig, cattle, sheep, horse, lifestyle and pet food sectors.
