Dujardin reveals success ‘drove the man she loved away and sparked battle with depression’

It was against the historic splendour of Greenwich Park, home of mean time, that British rider Charlotte Dujardin seemed to stop the clocks during London 2012. For a few hushed minutes the nation watched as the near unknown made an audacious bid for Olympic gold with a witty dressage performance to Land Of Hope And Glory, the theme tune to The Great Escape and Big Ben’s bongs.
