One of the most iconic figures in Australian sporting history - legendary jockey Damien Oliver - is retiring.
Punters.com.au can exclusively reveal "The GOAT" (Australia's greatest jockey of all time) will call it quits in December after an astonishing career which has transcended racing.
The 51-year-old climbed to the pinnacle of racing, scoring a record 128 Group 1 wins among a glittering haul of more than 3150 winners which included Australian racing's cherished Grand Slam.
Oliver, who has three Melbourne Cups, four Caulfield Cups, two Cox Plates and a Golden Slipper in his jam-packed trophy cabinet, will go back to the future and have his last ride where it all began in Perth.
