Charlotte Dujardin Rides Imhotep to Personal Best 82.422% to Place Britain Nearer European Championship Team Gold

RIESENBECK, Germany, Sept. 7, 2023–Charlotte Dujardin rode the 10-year-old Imhotep to a personal best score of 82.422% in the European Championships Grand Prix Thursday that moved Britain closer to team gold following a personal best a day earlier from Carl Hester on Fame.

Charlotte’s 15th international ride on the KWPN gelding was met with thunderous applause on the second of two days of the Grand Prix.

It came a little over three hours before the highly anticipated first head-to-head competition between Charlotte “Lottie” Fry on Glamourdale and Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on TSF Dalera BB.

World champions Lottie and Glamourdale have no previously scored as high in a regular Grand Prix, though posted 84.026% in the short version at London last Christmas.
