Cowgirl Riley O'Dell is stirring up more than dust on the outback rodeo circuit after taking home the champion's buckle in the Junior Bull Ride at the Tambo Outback Rodeo.
Riley, grew up on horseback and first jumped on a bull at the end of last year.
A smaller breed of cattle, the Dexter, is used in mini-bull riding competitions and while bull riding may usually be reserved for the boys, that is not stopping 11-year-old Riley.
"I don't get scared at all anymore because I know what the bulls are like; they're not going to hurt you, on purpose anyway," she said.
