Congratulations to Emma Booth and her horse Mogelvangs Zidane who together performed beautifully in the Para-Dressage Individual Test Grade III to earn fourth place with a score of 71.618%.
It is the first time that Booth has competed at the FEI World Equestrian Games. They both represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
12 months ago she nearly lost her beloved Zidane after he went through colic surgery. His effort today pushed her to tears of joy when she fronted the international media shortly after the test.
“This is a horse that 12 months ago had colic surgery so to be out here on the world stage is incredible. I wouldn’t be here without him,” said Booth.
“He felt absolutely incredible. He was with me every step of the way and completely relaxed.
“I am stoked with him and how we went. I am super grateful to my amazing team and effort behind scenes to get us out there and perform the way he did.”
She said she has absolutely loved her experience at Tryon.
“I have loved riding amongst the Australian riders it has been an awesome experience.”
