Caulfield trainer Brendan McCarthy says he will defend any charges arising out of irregularities to cocaine in the post-race sample of his Pakenham winner Vladking.
Racing Victoria Stewards on Thursday said they had received a report from Racing Analytical Services Limited (RASL) confirming that a prohibited substance has been detected in a urine sample collected from the maiden winner.
