Horse vaccine controversy halts drug company partnership

Australia's peak equestrian body has put its partnership with drug company Zoetis on hold as horse owners pursue a class action against a controversial vaccine.

Equestrian Australia announced it would partner with the animal medicine company just days after a group of horse owners launched legal action because they say a Zoetis-made Hendra Virus vaccine is making horses sick.

Lawyers for the horse owners' class action have told the ABC that horses have become sick and even died after having the vaccine administered.
