Inside the mission to save Victoria's High Country brumbies from being culled

For the Maguire family, saddling up their horses has become an act of resistance against a Government they say is out to destroy their cultural heritage.

They're preparing to ride into the mountains towering above their horse yard on a remote Alpine river, up to Victoria's majestic Bogong High Plains.

The family and a few new friends are on the hunt for brumbies, or feral horses as other people call them.

The riders are trying to muster the animals and bring them down to the Maguires' property for their own safety.
