A shorter Grand Prix described officially Thursday as “pacey and interesting” with interviews with riders still mounted will be tested as a pilot test at the World Cup event at London Olympia Dec. 17-18.
The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) announced the shorter Grand Prix at the same time as seeking applications for World Cup Finals for dressage, jumping driving and vaulting in 2022, 2023 and 2024 senior European Championships for dressage and the other seven disciplines it governs in 2021 and 2023.
There was no indication whether applications will be sought for a World Equestrian Games of all eight disciplines in 2022, less than four years since the conclusion of the combined world championships in Tryon, North Carolina last month.
