BONEO, Australia, Oct. 14, 2023–The New Zealand partnership of Melissa Galloway and Windermere J’Obei W posted a personal best score close to 80% to win the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday.
Melissa and the 13-year-old New Zealand bred gelding received a score of 79.865% for the 11th straight victory in an unbeaten 2023. The pair won the Grand Prix a day earlier.
Mary Hanna, a six-time Olympian for Australia, debuting Ivanhoe at the Big Tour Freestyle and only the second international Grand Prix for the 10-year-old KWPN gelding, was runner-up on 76.610%.
David McKinnon and the 13-year-old KWPN gelding Forlan were third on 76.485% in the first international competition for the pair.
