How and when did you start riding?
I got my first pony when I was five years old..my mum just wanted us to have a pony as we lived on 25 acres in Mt Barker so it just made sense.
Biggest influence?
In the early years, my mum was the biggest influence on my riding. She wasn’t a rider herself but her enthusiasm and the hours she would walk out with my sister and I on trail rides was incredible. Then we started getting VHS recordings from the TV from Nanna and Grandad in the UK of Badminton, Burghley, Hickstead and Olympia…this was the most amazing stuff a kid could watch it really inspired me.
Something nobody knows about you?
Well if I told you then everyone would know!
Favourite pastime?
Sleeping and reading on a comfy couch with the sun on me… can’t really recall when I last did this though.
Favourite holiday destination?
I love skiing, I’m not very good at it at all, in fact, I’m pretty terrible but I love it.
Superstitions?
Never wish ill on anyone as karma is a b%#*h
Favourite food and drink?
Oh, I love eating and drinking !!! When I’m being good: sparkling water and fresh iceberg lettuce-based salad with feta. When I’m indulging, Tapas and Moet (white with fruit).
Life mantra?
Always look ahead. Learn and make a better plan from your mistakes no matter how big or small
What’s your advice to aspiring High Performance riders?
