Heidi Bateman and Louise O'Neill want to prove that they are just as good as the boys.
They are only 11, but that is not stopping them from strapping on their helmets, pulling on their boots, and entering the rodeo arena in an event usually dominated by men.
Both girls have competed in barrel racing before, but this was the first time they had signed up to ride the poddies.
Poddy riding is an event where junior riders hang on to a bucking poddy calf for as long as possible, mimicking the bull riders who compete later in the evening.
