Subzero's serious kidney condition

Subzero has been rushed to the Bendigo Equine Hospital with a serious kidney condition.

The 1992 Melbourne Cup winner and one of thoroughbred racing's greatest-ever ambassadors is just a week shy of turning 31 and had only recovered from a bad colic attack when the kidney problem was detected.

Subzero's owner and closest mate Graham Salisbury told RSN927 the popular grey was in for a fight to save his life.
