Young gun rider Charly Robinson-Smith and Pure Obsession showed her experienced competition how it was done with a dominant jump-off performance in the feature class at the Canberra Classic show at the weekend.
A class field of 24 combinations took on the 1.15m-1.20m course which saw 16 of them record clear rounds to qualify for the jump-off. However, Robinson-Smith and Pure Obsession stood out from the rest as the height went to 1.30m in the jump-off. The pair raced around the course, again clear, almost 6 seconds faster than the second placed combination of Stephen Dingwall and Bellhaven Bluegum. Sandra Kenny and Rotherfield Absolute came in third less than a second behind.
