2014 Sydney Royal Easter Show

BC Equine and E O'Doherty's, 'Rosedale Royal Chatter' (Rosedale Tempting/Beckworth Royal Fern) won the class for Riding Pony Gelding Four Years and Over N.E. 13hh.

Matthew Snell is pictured with his own, B East, Graham Colvin and Headley Park's nomination, 'Headley Park Black Label' (Royalwood Boy Soprano/wild Mink II) to win the class for Riding Pony Gelding Three Years and Under and claim the Best Riding Pony Gelding award.

Michael Bramley is pictured on the move with the C, S, & E Bramley nomination, 'Bellingara Tinkerbell' (Snowdon Vale Peter Pan/Dalgangle Tinsel) that won the class for Three Year Old Welsh Mountain Pony Filly. The Bramley's young stallion, 'Bellingara Shogun' (Weston Park Talybont/Bellingara Showgirl) won the class for Welsh Mountain Pony Stallion Four Years and Over.

Melissa McVeagh led her own and R & M Wansborough's, 'Woranora Prima Donna' (Imperial Mendel/Stanton Park Peggoty) to win the Welsh Mountain Pony Broodmare class and go on to take out the WMP Mare/Filly Reserve Championship.

Carrie Furey led her own beautiful, 'Llangollen Christabelle' (Flowervale Top Gun/Llongollen Camelia) to take second place in the strong class for Welsh Mountain Pony Filly Two Years and Under.

Luke Stuart-Smith did the honours with Chantel Hardie's, 'Breemour Park Hot Gossip' (Imperial Baledur/Osory Lady Luck) to take second place in the class for Welsh Mountain Pony Stallion Four Years and Over.

Cade Hunter is bred to jump and jump he did today. Cade rode his, 'Kelstar', formerly ridden with success by Victorian, Steven Hill, to outpace his opposition and win the Junior Grand Prix this morning. Cade followed in his big brother, Jake's footsteps and added his name to the Maurice Gordon Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Most Successful Boy in the Junior Jumping competition.

Matilda Alexander and her, 'Dreamtime Invader' look very confident over this oxer on their way to fourth place in the Junior Grand Prix.

Heath Ahmat all the way from Western Australia makes a lovely jump aboard his New Zealand bred and well named, 'Sweet As NZPH' during the Junior Grand prix.

Mitchell Peulic from Annangrove in NSW has had a successful show with his, 'CW Conquest' and finished well with third place in the Junior Grand Prix this morning.

Stephanie McKillop had a super show with her wonderful Welsh Cob, 'Alcheringa Tradition'. They jumped an assured double clear to take second place in the Junior Grand Prix.

Mici Hyland and her careful, 'Stonleigh New Edition' finished their 2014 Sydney Royal Easter Show off well by taking fifth place in the strong Junior Grand prix.

An always busy and successful Anthony led the ACM Training Stables and Armanii Park's, 'Armanii Park Robyn Hood' (Osory Mr Sandman/Creswel Ariel) to win the class for Welsh Mountain Pony Colt Two Years and Under and go on to take out the WMP Stallion/Colt Championship and The Nattai Perpetual Trophy, donated by Mr Peter Taubman, for the Supreme Champion Welsh.

Margaret Butler is pictured on the go with Helen Dohan's Filly Two Years and Under and Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Mare/Filly, 'Woranora Nara' (Ysselvliedts Golden Boy/Woranora Nia).

Well known and successful showing exhibitor, Kristen Strath did the honours with Vivian Motbey's Champion Palomino, 'Wishlist' (Ray of Light/Escarda Spozobella) to claim the Supreme Led Palomino award.

Lauren Elkins took out the Champion Palomino Mare/Filly award with her, 'Ima Awesome Showgirl' (DMB Platinum/OK Im Awesome).

Today Champion Senior Showjumping Rider of the Show, Tom McDermott won the Young Rider Grand Prix giving him three victories of the four Young Rider classes on offer riding 'Flowervale Diamond'. Tom, in his last year of Young Rider classes was awarded the Robert and Joyce Brooks Annual Trophy for Most Successful Young Rider.

Lesley Goodyer did the honours with Jane Nelson and Richard Hughes', 'Denhue Royal Design' (Ascot Royal Tribute/Ascot Design) to win the class for Riding Pony Mare Four Years and Over, N.E. 12.2hh.

Simon De Leeuw led Maryanne Bullpit's, 'Whitmere Queen of Pop' (Whitmere Prince of Pop/Beckworth Royal Fern) to win the class for Riding Pony Filly Two Years and Under N.E. 12.2hh.

Darren Telford led Lisa Cleary and the Highcroft Stud's, 'Royalwood Chorus of Love' (Royalwood Boy Soprano/Sun Smart) to win the class for Riding Pony mare Over Four Years 13.2-14.2hh, claim the Riding Pony Mare/Filly Championship and the Willowcroft Stud Perpetual Trophy for Supreme Champion Led Riding Pony.

Law student, Sarah Louise McMillan came good at the end of the show and jumped two super rounds aboard her, 'Belcam Armada' to take fourth place in the Young Rider Grand Prix.

Joanne Prestwidge is pictured on the run with her latest imported Riding Pony stallion. The lovely, 'Tuscany Royal Jubilee'(Cusop Dimension/Broadgrove Serenade) arrived in Australia from the UK last October and today won the class for Riding Pony Stallion/Colt Three Years and Under N.E. 14.1hh and went on to be declared Champion Riding Pony Stallion/Colt.

Luke Dawes did the honours with the Bamborough Pony Stud's, 'Bamborough Anabelle' (Boston Bittermint/Cottrell Arabella) to win the class for Welsh B Filly Two Years and Under and went on to be declared Champion Welsh Pony Mare/Filly. Bamborough Stud also took out the Supreme Champion Welsh B with their 3 year old colt, 'Bamborough Pick Up'.

Suzy Willis was emotional today after jumping two lovely rounds aboard her 'Copabell Haymen' to take third place in the Young Rider Grand Prix. The reason for such emotion was the fact that the 19 year old imported jumper that carried London Olympic Team member, Julia Hargreaves from Young Rider to international competition is now headed for retirement. "He has earned a big green paddock" commented Suzi.

Milly Clark's Wonderful Thoroughbred, 'Diamond B Jimmy Choo' really put in the effort to jump two clear rounds and take second place in teh Young Rider Grand Prix today.

Jessica Knox's imported, 'Yirrkala El Rado' makes a super jump during the second round of the Young Rider Grand Prix. They did not place , but looking at this, it is difficult to wonder why not.

Kate Hinschen from Queensland flew around the second round of the Young Rider Grand Prix aboard her, 'LH Annie Elka' in the fastest time, but the very last fence down robbed them of victory. However, their good time saw them finish in fifth place.

Jessica Waite rode the Paulgren Park's, 'Paulgren Park Phoenix' to win the class for APSB Part Bred/Part Bred Riding Pony Over 13.2hh. Jessica and Phoenix feature in the May edition of Horse Deals having a lesson with UK showing personality, Julie Templeton.

Karen Thompson is pictured on the move with her Welsh Pony Stallion Four Year and Over winner, 'Glenmore Welshman' (Cherrington Mozart/Pendaith Winsome).

Alice Clark led Belinda Shepley's, Welsh Pony Colt Two Years and Under winner, 'Brampton I Spy' (Oak Park Montezuma/Brampton Innocent Eyes) to go on and claim the Welsh Pony Stallion/Colt Reserve Championship.
