Young Rider, Rebecca Macpherson heads in to the Bates Saddles CCI Two Star cross country phase in 19th place with a dressage score of 60.80 riding her 'Kalinga Memmo'.

UK based Australian Olympian, Clayton Fredericks did not have the best of dressage rides aboard his catch ride, Simon Tainsh's, 'Mighty William' that finished well down the line in the Bates CCI Two Star. Tomorrow is certainly another day, with the exciting cross country phase around the Adelaide City Parkland the highlight of the Deloitte Adelaide International Three Day Event.

Kirby Delamont is pictured with her 'Badger Bay', formerly ridden by Will Enzinger, during the dressage phase of the CCI Two Star competition. They finished the first phase down the line a little, but no doubt they will move up in the rankings when the jumping begins tomorrow.

It looks as if Andrew Cooper from Wagga Wagga in NSW has a lot of support during the dressage phase of the Bates CCI Two Star competition. It is of course signage for the famous SA brewing company, Cooper's. Andrew is pictured riding his Gymnastik Star gelding, 'Guest of Honour' 'that holds 25th place heading in to the cross country phase tomorrow.

Christan Trainor from Helensburgh in NSW, but formerly from the USA is in 18th place after the dressage phase of the Bates CCI Two Star riding the horse she brought with her, 'All Purpose Brown'.

Popular rider, Aaron Moyes from Wilberforce in NSW is pictured with his 'Sandhills Storm' by Staccato during the dressage phase of the Bates CCI Two Star.

Natalie Blundell from Harden in NSW won the first ever Adelaide Four Star competition in 1999 and would love to repeat that performance with Julia McLean and John Glenn's Thoroughbred gelding, 'Algebra'. They produced a good test today to hold ninth place with 48.30, less that two jumping rails from the leader.

Australian based New Zealander, Blair Richardson did not have the best of days in the dressage arena today riding his Thoroughbred gelding, 'Spend Up' by Big Spender. However, when the action starts tomorrow, Blair will no doubt move up the leader board.

Emma Mason from Mangrove Mountain in Queensland is pictured with her typey and successful 'F1 Pharinelli' that holds eighth place after the HSBC Four Star Dressage phase with 48.00.

New Zealand rider, Alice Montgomery is pictured riding her NZ Sport Horse gelding, 'Gordon', by Voltaire II in the dressage phase of the HSBC Four Star competition. They sit in 13th place on 51.00 heading in to the cross country phase tomorrow.

Christine Bates from Wilberforce in NSW puts her good theory in to practice at the Deloitte Adelaide International Three Day Event with her own and husband, Matthew Bates', 'Adelaide Hill'. The beautiful chestnut won the Sydney CCI Three Star last September and is placed seventh after the HSBC Four Star dressage phase with 47.80.

Soigne Jackson from Werombi in NSW is pictured during her HSBC Four Star Test riding her thoroughbred gelding by Opera Prince, 'Gold' in front of the renovated and packed Victoria Park Grandstand.

Tim Boland's imported Hanoverian X Thoroughbred, 'GV Billy Elliott' by Epikur was a little tense during the HSBC Four Star dressage phase, but nevertheless produced some good work for 49.20 and 10th place..

Shane Rose was pleased with his own and Jonnie Walker's 'Taurus' that holds third place after the HSBC Four Star dressage phase. The Warmblood gelding by Aries at just nine years old demonstrated international potential; time will tell.

"I'm really pleased he remembered how to do it" declared Megan Jones after her winning HSBC Four Star dressage ride for 43.30 on her wonderful "come back kid", 'Kirby Park Irish Jester'.

Successful New Zealand eventer, Bryce Newman is pictured riding his ex racehorse , 'Bates Trademark' by Turbulent Dancer in the HSBC Four Star dressage phase. When the action starts tomorrow, Bryce will be in his element.

With just two weeks to get to know the horse, Italian rider, Fabio Magni produce a super test form the Italian Ministry of Agriculture's, 'Watermark Grayson' for equal fourth place with 47.50. The horse formerly ridden by Stuart Tinney was produced by the Tinney's for the Italian international rider.

Emma Scott from Balranald in NSW has made a super start to her first HSBC Four Star competition. Emma is pictured with 2009 CCI Two Star winner, 'Jenbern Monyana' that holds equal fourth place on 47.50. Emma is also sixth riding her, 'Mustang' with a dressage score of 47.70.

We have been waiting a little while for Stuart to step up again to Four Star level with his , wife Karen and Tim Game's talented 'Panamera'. The Staccato mare holds second place in a close dressage phase with 44.50 and Stuart is also in 16th place riding John and Jane Pittard's, 'Pluto Mio' with 55.00. Tomorrow will be an exciting day.

Talented Queensland rider, Emma Dougall is pictured aboard her own and Kevin McNab's, 'Kelecyn Ice Age'. The Thoroughbred/Warmblood by Mosel Klute is in 22nd place after the HSBC Four Star dressage phase with 59.00.

Representing New Zealand, Laura Wallace who lives in Bowral NSW is pictured riding her beautiful NZ Thoroughbred by Coral Reef, 'Sugoi', that cam from Heelan Tomkins' barn. They finished the HSBC dressage phase in 22nd place with 59.00.
