2007 Brisbane Royal Show

Former Victorian Barastoc Hack of the Year (with Jess Barton), 'Highmont' is obviously enyoying his life in Queensland. Nominated by Aarron Woolard and the Durante Family, and ridden by Aaron, Highmont' won the Open Over 16.2hh Hack class.

Christine Frost and Francesca Christie's 'Elmdale Park Cosmopolitan' ridden by Phillip Bobic was second in the Open 16-16.2hh class. The Victorian holiday makers are obviously thriving in the sun. Later in the day, Phillip took out the Reserve Champion Gentleman Rider award.

Kristy Ansell from Sippy Downs in Queensland riding her 'Top Secret' in the first of the two Junior Jumping classes at the show.

Gemma Creighton, daughter of former Olympian showjumper, Guy Creighton riding her 'It's Clyde' in the Junior Jumping class this morning. Gemma took fourth place riding her second ride, 'Music Master'.

Kim Durante rode the Woolard and Durante nomination, 'Tate' to win the 16-16.2hh Hack class and go on to claim back to back Queensland Hack Championships. As always Kim rode with her forward flair and the beautiful big chestnut, already a two time Melborne Royal Champion, just gets better and better.

Laura Widdowson rode her well-performed 'WS Black Label' to take sixth place in a strong Open 16-16.2hh Hack class. Earlier in the show, Laura rode the gleaming black gelding to win the class for Novice Junior Lady Riders 18-21.

A bit of an awkward jump, but nonetheless a careful one for Junior Jumping winners, Drew Towns and 'Hailey's Charm'.

Breanna Lang from Ewingsdasle in NSW looks very stylish aboard her 'Wahooti' on their way to second place in the Junior Jumping class this morning.

Frank Thompson rode the Thompson and Myers nomination, 'Of Two Cities' to take third place in the Open 15.2-16hh class.

Martin Gunther from the ACT rode Grace and Mimi Elliott's 'Wingrove Image' (another former Victorian) to win the Open 15-15.2hh Hack class.

Kelly Bond from Fernvale in Queensland rode her 'Willalooka Bootscoot Boogie' to take third place in the class for Open Hacks 15-15.2hh.

Karen Shaw rode her own and the Redlands Stables' 'Crown' to take second place in the Lady's Hack class.

Regular Ekka competitor, Amy Maskell from Withcott in Queensland rode her 'Novel' to sixth place in the Open 15-15.2hh Hack class.

Jackie Long and the Ivery Park Stud's 'Time To Celebrate', the last by the great Truly Time was declared Champion ANSA Stallion. The stallion is out of Ecstacy Supreme.

Christian Rebsdorf does the honours with Bev and John Edward's Two-Year-Old Filly, 'Jaybee Prinzess'. The typey, lovely moving filly is by Royal Hit out of Jaybee Acacia and was placed second in her class.

Nicole Williams from Beaudesert with her Reserve Champion Warmbloos Stallion, 'NB Welt's Flight' by Weltmeyer out of Chosen Flight.

Best Warmblood Gelding, 'Absolut Royalty' by Royal Gregor (imp) out of Vista Melody, exhibited by K Chandler and Absolut Warmbloods from Burpengary in Queensland.

Champion Warmblood Stallion and Supreme Warmblood, 'Donautraum'. The good-moving imported stallion is by Donnerhall out of a Quatro B mare and was imported by Diane and Henry George as a foal for their Dicavalli Stud. The stallion is being shown by Mark Lilley.

Courtney Christie rode Christine Frost and Francesca Christie's lovely 'Dashing' to win the Lady's Hack class and take second place in the Open 15.2-16hh class.

Gina Montgomery gave as always a superb riding display aboard Oakridge Pty Ltd's 'Gillespie' to win the Open 15.2hh class and claim the Reserve Hack Championship.

Successful showing exhibitor, James Athanasoff rode the Godfrey and Durnate nomination, 'Jefferson' to win the Gent's Hack class.

Makk Kenzig had a successful show with his own and the Wadsworth Family's 'Absolut' to win the Open 12 Stone Show Hunter class and take out the Reserve Show Hunter award. They went on to take second place in the Open 16-16.2hh class. Mark and 'Absolut' are pictured during the Hack Championship workout.

Victorian ex pat, Adam Oliver had capped off a great show by taking out the Champion Gentleman Rider title.

Champion Jumping Rider (to this point), Billy Raymont rode the Dutchman stallion, 'Dutch Choice' to take third place in the Group A Championship.

David Dobson made sure of victory in the Group A Championship by posting the only double clear riding the imported Warmblood stallion, 'Pico Bello'

Elva Christensen from Gin Gin rode her 'Willowcroft Gold Label' to win the class for Ridden ANSA mare or Gelding 14-15hh.

Ashley Harris from Buccan rode her wonderful 'Highbury' to claim the Ridden ANSA Reserve Championship.

Margaret Campbell from Wowan in Queensland rode her own and H Davidson's 'Pure Ambition' to win the Ridden ANSA Gelding 15-16hh class and take out the Ridden Championship.
