James Athanasoff had a successful day with victory in the Open Over 16.2hh Hack class with 'Royal Denial' , as well as once again being declared Champion Gentleman Rider. Royal Denial is exhibited by Pitz and the Durante Family.

Zac Miles from Hunters Hill in NSW riding his 'Caesars Palace' was first cab of the rank in the first of the two junior jumping classes on offer at the Ekka..

Joshua Jones from Knockrow in NSW has been featured in many publications for his prowess in Riding classes. Joshua began his showjumping career twelve months ago and is making quite an impression. Here he rides the ex Louise Roche horse, 'Czarinsky' in the first of the two Junior classes at the Ekka.

Although twenty years old, Dale Jones' 'Warrior Joe' still looks to have springs in his feet. The combination from Withcott in Queensland took second place in the Junior Junping class this morning.

Brodie Towns from Moree in NSW is another young rider to have made his mark in Riding classes. He is also making his mark in the showjumping ring, with victory riding his 'Another Glance' this morning.

Kandice Keogh from Gheerulla in Queensland looks wll in control of the situation as she guides her 'Soarant' to third place in the Junior Jumping class this morning.

Holly Williams all the way from Nebo in North Queensland took fourth place in the Junior Jumping class riding 'Astral'.

Jodie Berman's 'Will-E-Go' gives this fence plenty of air during the Junior Jumping competition this morning.

Linda Colling from Jomboomba won the Open 16-16.2hh class riding her 'Armani'.

Saddler, David Quayle rode Sally Watkins and his own 'DQ Chalmer' in the Open 15.2-16hh work out.

Stephen Merry 'waits in the wings' with Charlotte Mitton's 'Flawless' in anticipation of a possible Championship run. 'Flawless' was second to Royal Denial in the Open Over 16.2hh class.

Terry Cowan took out the Best ANSA Gelding Exhibit award with Sue Lyons' 'Jefferson' by Luskin Star.

Charlotte Mitton won the Lady's Hack class with her own and Stephen Merry's 'Follow That Dream' a beautiful hack by Cenchire by Century.

Sally Evans well-known for her dressage exploits with her stallion, A'Seduction, took out the Reserve Champion Warmblood Stallion title with he 'Jaybee Always', another typey and talented horse by Aachimedes.

The 'Travelling Horseman', Richard Sharman has had plenty of success in the Warmblood classes at the Ekka over the years. This year her took out the Champion Warmblood Mare award with P Fenton and J Anderson's 'Carrington Lodge Welt's Savannah' by Highaven Park Welt's Emperor.

Whats that? G & M Jones' Best Warmblood Gelding Exhibit, 'Wynella Tannhauser' by Barabadeen Talent, seens to have spied something to capture his attention across the arena.

Tor van den Berge with Bev and John Edwards' beautiful Warmblood stallion, 'Carbine'. The imported stallion by Carbid out of Wenzel Prinzess was declared Supreme Champion Warmblood.

Kim Durante added to the outstanding success of her stable at the Ekka by taking out the 2005 Queensland Hack Championship with 'KT Madigan'. Madigan, exhibited by the Evans and Durante Families won the Open 15-15.2hh class.

A very sophisticated sixteen-year-old Alexia Fraser from Warwick, won both the Novice and Open 14 Stone Hack classes and went on to take out the Reserve Hack Championship with her 'Last Tango'.
