From looking at Cian O'Connor and 'Blue Loyd 12' by Landor S it is hard to imagine they would ever touch a rail. But sadly they lowered three in the third Individual Qualifier and miss out on the Final with a three round total of 20.

Australian Team Member, James Paterson- looks serious as he begins his round in the third Individual Qualifier riding, 'Lanosso'. Sadly they incurred 12 penalties around the tough 1.60m track and did not make it through to the Individual Final.

Julia Hargreaves jumped a super round aboard her Indoctro gelding 'Vedor' that looked as if he has plenty more scope up his sleeve. They just lowered the 1.60m vertical coming out of the treble 7abc.. They finished the third qualifier with five penalties and 13 after the three rounds and have qualified in the top 35 for the Individual Final on Wednesday.

German Team member, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum looks pleased with her clear jumping round riding the Baldini II mare, 'Bella Donna' that incurred just one time penalty. We will see them again on Wednesday for the Individual Final.

The horses at the Games are just outstanding. Riding for the Ukraine, Cassio Rivetti is pictured making a super jump riding the beautiful Antaeus gelding, 'Temple Road' in the tough. third Individual Qualifier.

German , Marcus Enning posted a beautiful clear riding the impressive Mr Blue stallion, ' Plot Blue'. There were only six clear rounds of the 31 to start in the Third Individual Qualifier and Team Final.

Successful French rider, Kevin Saut finished the three Individual Qualifying rounds riding the Corland mare, 'Silvana' with eight penalties and has qualified for the Individual Final where all 35 riders start again from zero.

World number one Lady Rider, Edwina Alexander rode the wonderful 15.3hh 'Itot Du Chateau' to post a four penalty round (just coming out of the treble) . They have easily qualified for the Individual Final on Wednesday, which promised to be a great day of jumping, but today will be hard to beat.

Mexican rider, Alberto Michan jumped a nine penalty round riding the Cassini II mare, 'Rosalia La Silla'. and they finish the three Individual Qualifiers with nine penalties and move forward to the Individual Final. .

USA Rider, McLain Ward makes a beautiful jump out of the Greenwich Maritime Double 9b riding the stylish Arconit stallion, 'Antares'. They lowered two fences for a total of right penalties and a final score of 12 and make it through to the Individual Final.

Fifty-four year old Nick Skelton has survived a broken neck and a hip replacement. He showed none of it today as he led Team GB to victory in the Team competition riding the beautiful Quick Star stallion , 'Big Star'. Nick lived up to his great reputation finishing the three rounds with 0 penalties. There was a jump off for the Gold Team Medal between Great Britain and The Netherlands and Nick posted the fastest clear of the seven to start against the clock. It was a thrilling day for British showjumping.

Jur Vrieling and 'Babalu' posted a eight penalty round today for the Silver Medal Dutch team today and have just missed the cut for the Individual Final.

Swedish combination, Jens Fredricson and the Landlord gelding 'Lunatic' posted a good four penalty round and with a total of 12 over the three rounds makes it to the Individual Qualifier. Sweden finished the Team competition in sixth place.

US Team rider, Beezie Madden jumped a beautiful round riding, ' Volo' for four penalties. Sadly that is the last we will see of Beezie, as she was eliminated in the first Individual Qualifier. The USA finished in equal sixth place with 28 penalties.

Ben Maher jumped a good four penalty round riding the lovely Namelus stallion, 'Tripple X' in the second team round and third Individual Qualifier. He jumped clear in the team jump off and helped secure the Gold Team medal for GB.

Maikel Van Der Vleuten has finished the three Individual Qualifiers with 0 penalties and his good efforts riding the Quidam de Revel stallion, 'Verdi' helped The Netherlands take the Silver Medal.

Swiss Team rider, Paul Estermann is pictured riding the Irish bred, 'Chesterfield Eclipse' that jumped an eight penalty round today ans has made it through to the Individual Final.

The Saudi Arabian Team entered the second Team round in first place, but slipped to the Bronze Medal position after round two. Team member, Kamal Bahamdan is pictured riding, 'Noblesse Des Tess' by Cumano.

Werner Muff and , 'Kiamon' are pictured jumping in the second team round and third Individual Qualifier for Switzerland. They just missed out on the Individual Final of 35.

Saudi Bronze Medal winning Team Member, Ramzy Al Duhami finished the three rounds with a total of six penalties and easily qualifies for the Individual Final riding , 'Bayard van de Villa There' by Kashmir van Schuttershof.

The Brazilian Team finished in eighth place, but Rodrigo Pessoa riding 'Rebozo; qualified for the Individual Final with 10 penalties over the three rounds. They all start from scratch for the Final on Wednesday.

Rich Fellers incurred 8 penalties in the second Team and third Individual round riding his World Cup Champion, 'Flexible' by Crusing. Rich and Flexible however live to contest the Individual Final on Wednesday.

Canada finished in fifth place, but Ian Miller jumped with just four penalties today to qualify for the Individual Final with eight penalties over the two rounds riding the impressive, 'Star Power' by Quick Star.

Peter Charles riding the Guidam gelding, 'Vindicat' jumped a good fast clear in the two way Gold Medal jump off to secure the Team Gold for Great Britain. As the rules only allow three members of a team in the final, Charles will not start in the Individual Final.

Switzerland's Pius Schwizer and 'Carlina IV' by Carvallo finished the three qualifying rounds with a total of eight penalties and will be in action again in the Individual Final on Wednesday.

Saudi Arabian Team members, Abdullah Sharbartly and 'Sultan' jumped four and six penalties in the two Team Rounds to help the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia take the Team Bronze Medal.

Team GB member, Scott Brash riding 'Hello Sanctos', jumped a fast four penalty round in the Gold Medal jump off and they have earned a place in the Individual Final. on Wednesday , which promises to be an exciting competition.

Dutch Team Member, Marc Houtzager riding , 'Tamino' by Numero Uno jumped two clear rounds in the Team competition and had just one down in the jump off to claim the Silver Medal for Holland.
