Rich Fellers and his charismatic Crusing stallion, 'Flexible' were the best performed of the US riders. They finished with a two round total of five for eighth place in the Individual competition.

Surprisingly this light rail set on flat cups at 1.60m only fell four times from the 37 attempts.

Ireland's Cian O'Connor claimed the Bronze Medal after a Jump Off for Silver. Cian and the Landor S gelding, 'Blue Loyd posted the fastest time in the two way jump off , but just rolled the last fence, the only fault they had in the three rounds of the Individual final. It was certainly a case of "the luck of the irish", as O'Connor was the reserve rider for Ireland and called up at the last moment and made the final cut following the withdrawl of Rolf-Goran Bengtsson's Casall on veterinary advice.

Sweden's Henrik van Eckermann lowered two fences riding the Arpeggio gelding, 'Allerdings' in Round A of the Individual Final and will play no further part in the competition. However; it was an achievement to make it to the top 37 of the 75 to start earlier in the week.

Frenchman, Oliver Guillon and 'Lord De Theize' jumped clear and nine to finish on that total for equal 12th place.

Mexican, Alberto Michan impressed riding the talented Cassini I mare, 'Rosalia La Silla' that finished the Individual competition in equal fifth place with five penalties.

Round A of the Final Individual class was indeed a tough one with a particularly difficult S bending line to and away from the open water at 8. Just about every vertical on course, including in the middle of 11abc was set at 1.60m. The course was technical with related distances and what can now be called the "Bob Ellis turn backs". Jose Larocca from Argentina and 'Royal Power; first out, incurred 20 jumping penalties.

Simon Deleste riding for France is pictured aboard the Baloubet de Rouet gelding, 'Napoli Du Ry' that jumped four and eight to finish the Olympic Individual competition in 19th place.

Up until fence 11a, Julia Hargreaves and 'Vedor' jumped the round of their lives and looked brilliant. Sadly for no apparent reason, Vedor lost concentration down the last line to come home with 16 jumping and one time penalty. The numbers do no represent the impressive round, as this picture demonstrates. It was a super Championship debut for Julia.

Luciana Diniz riding for Portugal was delighted with her one time penalty round in the first round of the Individual Final riding the Lifestyle gelding, 'Lennox'. Diniz finished in equal 17th place with a two round total of 10.

Belgian, Gregory Wathelet is pictured riding the Canabis Z mare, 'Cadjanine Z' in the first round of the Individual Final. They jumped with 12 penalties and did not go through to the second round. Five penalties and less made it through to the second round.

Stylish US rider, McLain Ward missed the second Individual round riding the handsome Araconit gelding, 'Antares' that had a foot in the difficult water as well as lowering two further fences.

Well known and super successful Brazilian rider, Rodrigo Pessoa jumped four and 13 aboard the Taloc La Silla gelding,'Rebozo' to finish his 2012 Olympic campaign in 20th place.

Meredith Michaels- Beerbaum makes a beautiful jump over this 1.60m flimsy fence during the first round of the Individual Final riding the Baldini II mare, 'Bella Donna'. Surprisingly they lowered two fences in the first round and did not compete in the second.

Jos Lansink jumped an eight penalty first Individual round riding the Nabab de Reve mare, 'Valentina Van 'T Heike'. Only five penalties and better made it through to the 20 horse second round.

Alfonso de Miranda and 'Rahmannshof's Bogeno' by Baloubet de Rouet are pictured with the crowd behind them jumping the Jousting 1.60m vertical. They finished with a two round total of nine for equal 12th place.

Ian Miller as always was impressive and finished in equal ninth place with a two round total of eight riding the Quick Star gelding, 'Star Power'.

Gerco Schroder claimed the Silver Individual Medal for The Netherlands riding the scopy Nabab De Reve stallion, 'London'. Schroder and London went clear in the two way jump off for the Silver medal.

Bronze Medal Team winner, Ramsay Al Duhami from Saudi Arabia jumped a 12 penalty first round in the Individual Final riding , 'Bayard Van De Villa There'.

Always a beautiful picture, Edwina Tops-Alexander and' Itot Du Chateau' finished the Individual competition with a two round total of 13 for 20th place. Edwina would be disappointed with that result, but Ito looked perhaps just a little flat today. Yes this photo is Itot looking flat!

Team Gold Medallist, Ben Maher is pictured riding his Team partner, 'Tripple X' a stallion by Namelus R to post four and four and finish the Individual competition in equal ninth place.

It seemed that everyone wanted Nick Skelton to win the Individual Gold to match the Team GB Gold won two days ago. he rode the typey Quick Star stallion, 'Big Star' to jump clear and four to take equal fifth place in the Olympic Individual competition.

Switzerland's Paul Estermann rode the Irish bred, 'Castlefield Eclipse' to take equal 17th place in the Individual Olympic competition.

Dutchman, Marc Houtzager is pictured with the Numero Uno gelding, 'Tamino' that took equal ninth place with a total of eight penalties.

Switzerland's Pius Schwizer and the Carvallo mare 'Carlana IV' added to the strong Swiss Performance by taking equal 12th place in the Individual competition with a total of nine.

Kamal Bahamdan was the best performed of the Saudi Team riding his super Cumano mare, 'Noblesse Des Tess' that finished the two Individual rounds with one time penalty in each round. They took fourth place overall in the Individual competition.

Riding for France, Oliver Guillon jumped clear and nine riding , the Donald Rouge gelding, 'Lord De Theize' to take equal 12th place.

Swiss rider, Steve Guerdat has been at the top of the showjumping game for a few years and today cemented his reputation by being the only rider to jump a double clear in the Individual competition to claim the Olympic Gold Medal riding the Kannan gelding, 'Nino Des Buissonnets'.

German, Marcus Enning jumped the most beautiful round in the first of the Individual tests riding the Mr Blue Stallion,' Plot Blue'. They finished the two rounds with a total of nine penalties to take equal 12 place.
