Christine Comley's Yearling Colt, 'Rosedale Eton' by Kolbeach Sensational out of the "sensational" Colbeach Simone imp, was declared Reserve Champion Riding Pony Colt.

Wendy Trimble's 'Tooravale Ivory' (Weston Manhattan/Weston Miranda) won the Welsh B Brood mare class and went on to be declared Champion Welsh Pony Mare/Filly.

Cherrie Uchtman's 'Sanlirra Prediction' (Vale Park Spotlight/Willowcroft Mahogany) won the class for Led Riding Pony Gelding 13.2-14.2hh.

Alexandra Williams with her 'Silkwood Spring Romance' (Strinesdale Matador/Solway Springtime) that took second place in the class for Arabian Riding Pony Mares Over 13hh.

The Ascot Stud's 'Ascot Elizabeth Arden' by Ascot Classic Silk out of the well performed, Ascot Lisa was declared Champion Arabian Riding Pony Mare/Filly.

Beautiful Led and beautiful under saddle, Ms E Adams ans Future Farm's 'Buillion' (Legacy of Gold/Hideaway Farm Ka'arlima) was declared Champion Led Purebred Arabian Gelding.

Ms K Dobritko's 'Warrawee Merceedes' (Rangeview Landstrom/Warrawee Shee's Afire) won the Warmblood Gelding 2 and 3 Years class and went on to be declared Champion Warmblood Gelding.

Jo Smith's 'Wyandah Poplin' (Fairlight Acres Kidman/Fairlight Acres Pattern) made the most of her first show by being declared Junior Champion Australian Pony Filly.

Stuart Ryan's 'Kooyong Amythest' (Samson Silver Shadow/Kooyong Crystal) claimed her second (2006) Champion Australian Pony Mare title and the lovely,typey mare went on to be declared Supreme Led Australian Pony.

Caroline Bellman and Stella Horspale's 'Dunelm Party Girl' (Dunelm Academy Star/Dunelm Picture Book) was declared Champion Australian Pony Filly.

Elizabeth Krog rode A Reid's eye catching, 'Weston Park Cointreau' (Eyarth Sama imp/Weston Park Catrina) to be declared Champion Ridden Buckskin.

Grace Hill rode Taylyn Park's 'Taylyn Park Tennesse' (Imperial Jerrard/Fairlight Acres Petite) to take out the Welsh Leading Rein/First Ridden Championship.

The Trincada Arabian's 'Fairview Amira Shaklan' (Amir El Shaklan imp UK/ Kim-Dande Stormgirl) shown by Sue Williams was declared Champion Arabian Pony Mare/Filly.

The Yarramduc Stud's 'Yarrumduc Regal Bronze' (Willowcroft Regal Chase/Cheranne Briar Rose) was declared Junior Champion Show Hunter Pony.

On the first day of the 2009 Melbourne (Summer) Royal Horse Show the winds blew and nothing was safe on the ground. One almost expected ponies to fly past at any minute. Thankfully most kept their feet on the ground and the weather Gods promise better days to come. Ms S Lamb and Mr L Hickey's 'Newington Replica' heads to the Ridden Show Hunter classes, with the dust storm in the background.

The Naaman Stud's 'Naaman Flaunt It' (Warrawee S'Preem/Truly Justice) won the Arabian Derivative 2 ans 3 Years Over 14.2hh, was declared Champion Arabian Derivative Mare/Filly and went on to be declared Supreme Arabian Derivative to claim the Michael Cheeseman Memorial Trophy.

Well known showing personality, Raymond Butler with his 'Keira Park Cascade' (Karlana Say Farewell/Keira Park Amber) that won the class for Arabian Riding Pony Colt 2 and 3 Years and was declared Champion Arabian Riding Pony Stallion/Colt.

Simon Parker had a busy afternoon. He is pictured with the Deveron Stud's 'Deveron Di Maggio' (Deveron Duval/Gutherzig), winner of the Arabian Derivative Stallion class and the Arabian Derivative Stallion/Colt Championship.

Fern Wright rode the Abbott-Wright Family's 'Kamber Pryderi' (Burrowa Sportsman's Last/Imperial Martha) to win the Ridden Welsh D class.

Chris Gray claimed the Supreme Welsh Mountain Pony Championship with the Elargee Stud's 'Elargee Tobruk' (Breconbach Soldier Poppy imp/Elargee Tabaret).

Kristy Thompson did the honours with the Fable Park's 'Fable Park Royalty' (Urubula Regal Promise/ Tallyrand Impressions) to win the Ridden Show Hunter Pony 13.2-14.2hh and take out the Ridden Show Hunter Pony Championship.

Leo McDougall with his stallion, 'Bangor Hector' (Bamborough Academy/ Imperial Hermina) declared Supreme Welsh B Exhibit and claim the Eileen Bartrum Trophy for Best Welsh Exhibit.
