Gabrielle Pither was leading the Tarraleah performance Horses CCI Two Star competition after the cross country phase, but two fences down in the final jumping phase riding , 'Max Almighty' saw them slip to second place.

Teegan Ashby and her,'Rockingham No Reason' lowered just one showjumping rail to move from second to first place in the Tarraleah Performance Horses CCI Two Star competition on 58.6 penalties.

Lauren Balcomb rode her, 'Guido Hatzis' to add just one showjumping rail to their dressage score to win the Horsepower CCI One Star competition.

Popular rider , trainer, breeder and motivational speaker, Heath Ryan added just time penalties and one jumping rail to his dressage score riding Pamela Maine's attractive and talented AEA Aspen gelding, 'Aspire R' to take seventh place in the Equestrian NSW CCI Three Star competition.

Katie Roots is pictured aboard UK import by Fleetwater Opposition, 'Trevalgar II' that took sixth place in the Equestrian NSW CCOI Three Star competition.

Athens Olympic Team member, Rebel Morrow rode her own and S McCalagan's talented mare and former racehorse by Nediym, 'Hillgrove Enviable' to take fifth place in the Equestrian NSW CCI Two Star competition.

"Ben" aka, 'Parkiarrup Illicit Liaison' and Sonja Johnson are making sure of this oxer during their clear showjumping round to take fourth place in the Equestrian NSW CCI Three Star. Nikki Harwood's Thoroughbred gelding was the only CCI Three Star horse to jump clear on both time and jumping.

Jessica Manson from Western Australia really impressed at the 2014 Sydney Three Day Event riding her talented Australian Stock Horse, 'Legal Star'. In 15th place after the dressage phase of the CCI Three Star they moved to fourth place after cross country and with just one rail down the 13 year son of a WA brumby by the son of Crown law, Ringwould Legality took second place in the competition.

It was wan emotional day for Jade Findlay and her mother Jean, as they, along with rider Christopher Burton chose the Sydney International Horse Trials to retire Burton's 2010 WEG and 2012 Olympic Team mount, 'Leilani', pictured with Jade.

Shane Rose moved from second to first place riding the Wischer's impressive Warmblood gelding, 'CP Qualified'. The Quiet Capitol gelding lowered just one rail and finished on 53.4 penalties. Sadly Shane was not challenged by Megan Jones and Flowervale Maserati, as the horse was withdrawn from competition following the cross country.

Sarah Louise McMillan, pictured aboard her young and well named, 'Colorbond' by Copabella Visage won the hotly contested Young Rider Showjumping class riding her, 'Queen of Diamonds'.

Former hack rider turned Grand Prix jumping rider, Jess Barton is pictured aboard her talented and imported, 'Lamaz' during the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier, the first of the 2014 season.

Brook Dobbin from Yarra Glen in Victoria jumped one of just two first round clears riding the Cooney's beautiful and talented imported gelding, 'Silvo'. Sadly fences down in the second round saw them finish out of the placings. brook would no double have loved an AM3.

Young South Australian rider, Nicole Bruggemann and her, 'Bluesta' give this big oxer plenty of room during the first round of the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier, the first in Australia for the 2014 season.

Emma Smith powers over this oxer during the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier riding her own and her father Jeff Smith's impressive stallion, 'Casablanca'.

Stylish Clem Smith jumped four and eight riding his own and daughter, Jessie's, 'Guru' that is out of the well known Victorian jumping mare, Dove to take sixth place in the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier.

Young and athletic, 18 year old Sam Buchanan jumped four and clear riding his talented Vivant mare, 'Diamond B Vixen' to win the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier. As well as no stirrups for a few fences, Sam was riding with a broken wrist, courtesy of a fall at Sydney Royal.

Everyone is paying attention to the job at hand, as Jess Brown and her super, imported, 'Casco' make a beautiful jump on their was to jumping four and four to take fourth place in the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier.

Formerly from South Australia, but now resident in Queensland, Matt Afford demonstrated his horse, 'Kaluna Thunderstruck's' scope with a seemingly easy clear first round over a tough John Vallance World Cup Qualifier track. Two down in the second round saw them take third place in the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier.

Tim Clarke's, 'Caltango' is pictured in classical pose over this big oxer during the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier. They jumped eight and clear in a fast time to take second place in the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier.

Billy Raymont is another rider coping with a broken arm and is pictured aboard his wonderful Grosvenor Thoroughbred gelding, 'Stardom' that took seventh place in the Greater Sydney World Cup Qualifier.

Dave Cameron makes a lovely jump aboard Linda and Bonnie Martin's talented and imported mare, 'RR Dyranta' in her first ever World Cup Qualifier. They jumped four and eight to take fifth place.
