Alex Watts from Mitchells Island in NSW jumped a good four penalty first round in the Junior Grand Prix this morning riding his talented mare, 'Midnight Secret'.

Monique Barrett from Penrith and her 'Snowy River Ginger Meggs' in classic and typical pose on their way to win the Junior Grand Prix this morning. With a win and two third placings Monique also took out the Helen Rose Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Champion Junior Girl Rider.

Tom Sedger from Postmans Ridge in Queensland had a great show. With two wins and two third placings, including third place in the Junior Grand Prix, Tom rode his' LL Gift' to be awarded the Maurice Gordon Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Champion Junior Boy Rider.

In the eight year history of the JWEP Young Jumping Horse of the Show, (for horses eight years and under) this year was the first time it went to the winner of the prestigious EFA Cup and second placegetter in the World Cup. In fact it was the double World Cup Points that got the eight year-old 'Ashleigh Drossel Dan' across the line. Laurie Lever and Colin Gronn's big grey by Drosselklang II (frozen semen) won the award with 26 points, ahead of th Brook/Carcary and Lang-McMahon nomination, 'PB Poets Corner' on 21 and Clive Reed on 15 with his Silky Baby mare,'Kinnordy Serena'.

Anthony Mountney in charge of Lyn Warburton's winning Welsh B Gelding Three Years and Under and Best Section B Gelding, 'Tooravale Casanova' (Weston Manhattan/ Weston Park Candice).

Belinda Howard and 'White Russian' over the Australian Flag planks, on their way to second place in the Junior Grand Prix this morning.

Christy Hall's lovely 'Cherrington King Demitrius' (Syon Royal Portrait Imp/Nampara Royal Affair), winner of the Welsh Section B Pony Gelding Four Years and Over.

The Keir Family's 'Canberra Park Searchlight' took out the Mrs EMMA Bull Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Champion Buggy/Sulky Horse. Pictured with 'Searchlight' are L-R Brooke Keir, driver Melisa Jones, presenter, Nola Entwhistle and Peter Keir.

Victorian competitor, Amanda Eltringham rode her 'Cambooya Galliano' (Woranora Minstrel/Lenson Park Gwynever) to take fifth place in the Ridden Welsh Section A Mare/Gelding.

Eliza Babazogli from Glossodia rode her 'Kaywana Starbuck' (Trentlyn Gatsby/Silverthorne Twinkle) to take sixth place in the class for Ridden Welsh Section A Mare/Gelding.

A delighted Melanie Bolwell rode Helen Dohan's 'Woranora Nadia' (Waranora Mosaic/Imperial Nerina) to win the class for Ridden Welsh Section A Mare/Gelding.

Julia Hargeraves finished off a good Young Rider campaign by taking third place in the Table C and last class, riding her 'Lavender Blue'.

Jamie Winning had a successful run in the Young Rider classes and finished well by taking second place in the last class of the show, a Table C riding her 'Yandoo Drought'.

A busy Rebekah Bennett rode N & J Rivett's 'Karalamia Finale' (Cherrington Sir Jason/Cherrington Mock Orange) to win the class for Section B Mare/Gelding NE 12.2hh.

Belinda Prestwidge from Morphet in NSW rode her 'Mr Chips' to take fifth place in the Young Rider Table C.

Michelle Oakford drove the Oakford and Reeve nomination, 'Millbrae Medallion' to claim the Champion Shetland Pony Turnout.

Maureen Pengelly from Tarneit in Victoria and her 'Lordonvale Frederick' really look to be going places. They won the Shetland Pony M/F/G Turnout and went on to claim the Reserve Champion Turnout award.

The Keir Family and Mrs J Buckley's 'Green Valley Brooke' won the Shetland Pony Business Turnout class with this scaled down Handsome Cab. Driven by Melisa Jones with, if you have good eyesight, Emma Finnemore inside for the ride.

Dianne Bennett on the move with her Champion Led Buckskin Mare, 'Cherrington lady Jessica' (Karanga Skywalker. Cherrington Lady Juliette).

Carole Kable won the Pony Mare/Gelding Section B Breeding NE 12.2hh class with her 'Cherrington Macbeth' (Mirinda Sovereign/Langley Portia) and went on to be declared Champion Ridden Welsh Pony.

Samantha Courtice from Maleny did not start her Young Rider campaign so well, but she finished brilliantly by winning the Table C class riding her 'KS Patches'.

'Koorana Royal Gold' (Koorana Royal Edition/Koorana Emily) exhibited by E House and P and M Johnson, and shown by Peter Johnson.

Amanda Painting-Ragg rode the Ragg and Proctor and Smith Family Show Team's 'Mirabel Georgia' (Snowden Vale Saloman/Penyghent Geveva) to take second place in the class for Ridden Welsh Section C/D Mare/Gelding.

Jodie Peever from Badgery's Creek with her 'Pinaroo Park Pixie Elle' (Grenwood Satalite/Woranora Flair) winner of the class for Ridden Welsh Mare/Gelding of C and D Breeding.

Steven Hall with his 'Ashmark Jonathon' (Ashmark Lord/Windfield Creampuff), winner of the class for Buckskin Gelding Any Age Under 14hh.

Jo Dorman drove her own and Darren Dorman's Champion Non Hackney Pony, 'Westbury Shadowman' They also claimed the Champion Non Hackney Buggy/Sulky Turnout class and are seen here during the Supreme drive off.

The Keir Family capped off a very successful day by claiming the Supreme Champion Turnout Award with their own, Canberra Park, Stepalong Lodge and Springfield Stud's 'Four Winds Oz Parade'. Seen here with Peter Keir at the reins and grandaughter, Brooke Keir.

Grant Hughes' riding experience came to the fore today in the Top Score . There is an art in riding these speed and jumping classes and Grant has the art. He rode 'Emmaville Ricochet' (pictured) to win and took second place with 'Yakity Yak'.
