2007 Sydney Royal Easter Show

Francesca Christie got an early start to the day by winning the 8.15am Open Heavyweight Galloway 14.2-15hh class riding the Ausbain Partnership's 'Sanlirra Larrikan'.

Gina Beck took second place in the Open Heavyweight 14.2-15hh Galloway class riding her own and G Rands', 'Commands Attention'.

Kim Martin from Keiravale in NSW was fourth in the Open Heavyweight 14.2-15hh Galloway class riding her 'Koolraster Park Prankster'.

A busy Tim Hadlow rode Miss SM Adam's 'Paint the Stars of Astral', which measured up, to win the Lightweight Galloway 14.2-15hh class.

Sarah Corrigan rode her own and sister Emma's, 'The Meadows Tipperary' to take third place in the Open Lightweight 14.2-15hh Galloway class.

Sandy Hunter drove the splendid Andalusian, 'Gentle Lady' to take second place in the Non Hackney Horse Show Vehicle Turnout class. Exhibited by Hunbter and Chesson.

Trinette Crawford, who always rides 'Beaufort Heiress', claimed the Heavyweight 14-14.2hh Galloway class with the beautiful and successful mare exhibited by Sue Peters and Beaufort Nutrition. Later in the day Heiress, by Urubula Regal Promise out of Beaufort Bamyam was declared Champion Ridden Australian Saddle Pony.

Shelly Penny from Traralgon in Victoria was second in the Open Heavyweight 14-14.2hh Galloway class riding her 'Sheldene Arcade'. Later in the day Shelly won the class for Lady riders over 40.

Lori Howell awaits the judges decision with her 'Joemoor Aerial' (Joemoor Imperial/Wyntree Debutante). Aerial was second in the Led class fior Australian Saddle Pony Mare/Filly Over 11 and NE 13hh.

Jodi Allen did the honours with Nicole Parsons and the Ashcroft Stud's 'Mirinda Jack of Diamonds' (Westacre Concerto (UK)/Kitteway Tranquility) which took out the class for Australian Saddle Pony Stallions/Colts 11-14.2hh.

The Bamborough Pony Stud and the Firth Family's 'Bamborough Mannequin' (Boston Bittermint (imp)/Bamborough Memories) claimed her second Supreme Led Saddle Pony title today. Shown as always by Brooke Firth who tells me that this very successful mare will soon retire from the show ring and embark on a career in motherhood.

The Widdowson Family's outstanding Galloway, 'Willowcroft Regal Winter' , ridden as always by Adam Oliver, won the Lightweight Galloway 14.14.2hh class this morning, and is one step closer to claiming back to back Galloway Championships.

Robert Duddy drove the Corvi/Duddy?Cowan nominated, 'Dunolly Vivid' to take second place in the Hackney Horse Show Vehicle Turnout class. It was indeed an impressive class with ten entries.

Darren Dorman drove his and Joanne Dorman's 'Ashwoods Captivation' to win the Hackney horse Show Vehicle Turnout class.

Shane Keir took out the class for Hackney Stallion/Colt over 14hh with the eyecatching, 'Canberra Park Stepalong Blacknight' exhibited by the Keir Family, Canberra Park, Stepalong Lodge and Springfield Stud.

Craig Harper-Purcell with his Best Australian Saddle Pony Led Gelding, 'Rothwell Performing Arts' (Rising Sovereign of Beckworth/Rothwell Penny Arcade).

Julie Gibson from Cowra in NSW works out in the Lady Rider Over 40 class to take sixth place.

Hilary Scott with Mrs C Cameron's impressive imported mare, 'Oaks Pro Ratina' jumping in the Part 2 class this adternoon. They were just out of the money with a four penalty first round, with only four clear.

A rather awkard moment from Murrumbateman rider Stephen Dingwall and his Greywynd during the Part 2 class this afternoon. Surprisingly they remained united and put this moment behind them as they continued on to jump the rest of the track well.

Canberra Royal Councilor, Grant Hughes rode his 'Yakity Yak' to take second place in the Part 2 class this afternoon.

George Sanna, back in action after an injury lay off, was back at his stylish best riding the imported gelding, 'Paratus'. They took third place in the Part 2 class this afternoon

Whilst on the subject of injury lay offs, Jenny Sheppard had made a speedy recovery from breaking her leg at Dapto Show. Here Jenny cuts a dashing pose with the imported 'Licara R' during their round in the Part 2 class this afternoon.

Rachel Wessel from Clonbinabe in Victoria was third in the class for Lady Riders 21-40.

Laurie Lever and Colin Gronn's 'Ashleigh Drossel Dan' made light work of the Part 1 course this afternoon. Laurie jumped a double clear with the scopy grey to take third place.

Laura Widdowson from Queenslans rode her 'WS BLack Label' to take second place in the class for Lady Riders 17-21Years.

Hayley Preston from Temora in NSW was fourth in the class for Lady Riders 17-21 Years.

The Drayton and Paxton Nomination, 'Raleigh Toy Soldier' (Woodbury Park Showtime/Raleigh Gazzell) won the Ridden Australian Saddle Pony Mare/Gelding 12-13hh class, ridden by Jessica Drayton.

The Bamborough Pony Stud and the Firth Family's 'Bamborough Lady Luck' (Silkwood Puss 'N Boots/Bamborough Lady Lina) was declared Reserve Champion Led Australian Saddle Pony Mare/Filly and with Di Firth in the saddle, Reserve Champion Ridden Australian Saddle Pony.

Tim Amitrano and his wonderful part Quarter Horse, 'Mr Innocent' was second in the Part 1 class this afternoon behind Chris Chugg and the Australian Sporthorse Breeders' 'Vivant' claiming his second victory in this section.

Angela Rodham (nee Latter) won the Lady Rider 21-40 and went on to be declared Champion Lady Rider.
