Victorian All Welsh 2009

Lynda Miller drove Basil Lee's 'Catarqui Gwendolyn' (Acheron Splash of Magic/Acheron Mari Ddu) to win the Open Driver class and take out the Reserve Champion Harness Turnout award.

Vicki Stevenson drove her own 'Penbayr Lollypop' (Kittani Cowboy/Penbayr Toy Boy) to take second place in the Open Driver class.

It is always useful to have a pony that is happy to carry a load. Teagan Chester rode her grandmother, Lil Cook's 'Kawanna Park Pop Song' to fifth place in the Activity Pony class for rider 12-17 years.

James Boulton did the honours with Lil Cooke's 'Kawanna Park Solitaire' (Llanfairbryn Desert Fox/Thorpeville Ladybird) to take out the class for Led Section A Welsh Hunters.

Always forward, Elsa Avery on the move, took out the Champion Harness Turnout with her 'Acheron Midnight' (Redwood Derw imp/Waterford Dalgelly).

Narelle Williams won the Led Show Hunter Mare/Gelding Over 14hh and went on to take out the Led Show Hunter Championship with her lovely, 'Kattani Hippy Chick' (Kattani Kalahari/Surburban Miss).

Kirsten Esler rode the Llanfairbryn Stud's 'Llanfairbryn Exquisite' (Coed Coch Bedwyn imp/Trentlyn Tarina) to fourth place in the class for Show Hunter M/F/G 12hh and Under.

Tarryn Godfrey rode Ruth Holmes' 'Kunat Kardinal Beau' (Wyann Scooby Do/Wyann Virgo) to second place in the Ridden Show Hunter Mare/Gelding 12hh and Under.

Grace Docker rode Janette Graham's 'My Haven Cameo' (Weston Fanfare/Bimbadeen Mist) to third place in the class for Show Hunter Mare/Gelding 12hh and Under.

Lucy Hocking rode her very well performed (Led and Ridden), 'Weston Park Chorister' (Eyarth Sama imp/Weston Chanel) to win the Ridden Show Hunter 12-13hh.

Kimberley Carpenter rode Janette Graham's well-performed, 'My Haven Millenium' (Wallington Aristocrat/My Haven Cameo) to second place in the Ridden Show Hunter Mare/Gelding12-13hh.

Amanda Diaco rode Stephanie Pinton's successful, 'The Count of Tuscany' (Strinesdale Matador/Chippenham Celebrity) to win the Ridden Show Hunter 13-14hh class and claim the Reserve Ridden Show Hunter Championship.

Kellie Wise rode her 'Thorpeville Dane' (Owendale Jolly Roger/ Thorpeville Dinah) to second place in the class for Ridden Mare/Gelding Show Hunter 13-14hh.

Merran Socha took third place in the Ridden Show Hunter Mare/Gelding 13-14hh with her 'Mayfield Mr Darcy' (Hillswood He's Dreaming/Mrs Pony).

Norm Clark rode the Hartigan's 'Waveleigh Nicholas Nickleby' (Urubula Regal Promise/Loch SloyNandina) to fifth place in the class for Show Hunter Mare/Gelding 13-14hh.

Sally Belcher (Kellock) rode the Belaradah Stud's good working and typey, 'Belaradah Fortune' (Small Land Mascot/Belaradah Finery) to second place in the Ridden Show Hunter Mare/Gelding Over 14hh.

Samantha Rennie had a super show with her 'Mirinda Comic Opera' (Keston Royal Occasion imp/Lady Malia). Yesterday they claimed the Supreme Ridden Part Welsh award and today, the Ridden Show Hunter Championship.

Anne Cochrane rode her 'Wyann Ali Barber' (Wyann Jiminy Cricket/Wyann Crystal) to win the Ridden Welsh Hunter Mare/Gelding of Section A Breeding.

James Moloney was not going to let his brother, Patrick take all the glory today. James rode 'Lykanarrow Ladysmith' (Stanton Park Sideshow/Thorpeville Ladybird) to third place in the Ridden Welsh Hunter Mare/Gelding of Section A Breeding.

Sarah Maley rode Carmen Mansell's 'Nattai Harlequin' (Nattai Martyn/Nattai Honeysuckle 2nd) to second place in the class for Welsh Hunter Mare/Gelding of Section A Breeding.

Bridget O'Bree working out in the Welsh Hunter of Section A Breeding class riding DR & K O'Shannassy's 'Kunat Jay Jay' (Downsbury Llew Llwyd/Dalgangle Lana).

Lucy Hocking rode the Hocking Family's 'Bamborough Montage' (Boston Bittermint/Imperial Juliet) to second place in the Welsh Hunter Mare/Gelding of Section B Breeding.

Caitlin Smith rode Donna and Rose Nichols' 'Kittani Kiss' (Grenwood Superman/Grenwood Stella) to third place in the class for Ridden Welsh Hunters of C Breeding.

Natasha French and her Scotsfold Park Rum Tyme' (Acheron Rum Truffle/Nawarrah Park Hy Time) demonstrated the form that saw them win the class for Welsh Hunters of Section C Breeding.

Mariece Paine won the Welsh Hunter Mare/Gelding of D Breeding with her (real) Welsh Hunter, 'Pen-nant Gallant Bess' (Durrant Gentleman Jack/Eileen Donan Dancer) and rounded out a great 25th Victorian All Welsh show with the Reserve Ridden Welsh Hunter Championship.

Kate Jackson rode Alice Austin's 'Nattai Sereph' (Nattai Prophet/Nattai Sws) to fourth place in the class for Welsh Hunter Stallion/Colt of Section A Breeding.

Teagan Lewis rode Joanne Stubbs' good working, 'Penryn Silver Spruce' (Imperial Spruce/Penryn Fickle Lass) to win the tough class for Welsh Hunter Stallion of Section A or B Breeding.

Ace Coughlan rode Sue Coughlan's 'Burrowa Sportsmans Last' (Gwibedog Sportsman imp/Chapel House Gwenhwyfar) to win the class for Welsh Hunter Stallion of C or D Breeding.

The Gatehouse Family made the trip from Queensland worthwhile. Today their charming, Section A stallion, 'Barn Hill Fletcher' (Owendale Bart/Imperial Francis) won the Led Welsh Hunter A/B Stallion class and went on to take out the Led Welsh Hunter Championship. Later in the day the good working little stallion was second in the Ridden A/B Welsh Hunter class.

Patrick Moloney and 'Lykanarrow Rockafella' (Cheraton Cadan/Dalgangle Goldilocks) were at short odds to take out the Ridden Welsh Hunter Championship. The Section B winners did not disappoint with a popular victory.
