At the end of the first day of CCI Two Star dressage, Sophie Adams holds equal first place aboard the Waratah Equestrian's imported Selle Francais gelding, 'Mercator Du Ry' by Brett Saint Clair out of Girandole Nantuel, with 45.90 penalties. (69.38%). Lindsay Honey and Bindaboo are their equal.

John Fletcher and , 'SP Master Puzzle', a Stock Horse/Clydesdale added a splash of colour to the CCI Two Star Dressage proceedings today.

"A nice life if you can get it"! Owners, grooms, riders and horses mill around the competition stables on the first day of action at the 2012 Adelaide International Horse Trials. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet, but the suspense will build towards the final two jumping days, cross country on Saturday and Showjumping on Sunday.

No doubt World Eventing #1 and Olympic Team Silver Medallist, William Fox-Pitt does not have too much time to sit down at home, unless it is on a horse, and that is sitting of a different kind. 2012 Adelaide guest, William enjoys a bit of quiet time in the beautiful sunshine on the first day of the Horse Trials. As the event progresses, William will conduct a course walk and give a Masterclass, so he needs to enjoy the seat and the sun as long as he can.

Managing Director from Oldbury in WA, Lindsay Honey rode his bred for the job, 'Bindaboo' by Brilliant Invader out of a Koyuna Mikado mare, to produce a good test for 45.90 and hold the equal lead at the end of the first day of CCI Two Star Dressage.

Isabel Houghton from Coldstream in Victoria rode Janet Houghton's typey Thoroughbred gelding, 'Mohito' by Kenny's Best Pal to hold seventh place on 52.00 after the first day of CCI Two Star dressage.

Belinda Isbister from Perth is pictured aboard her lovely Thoroughbred, 'Holy Bruce' during the dressage phase of the CCI Two Star. Holy Bruce was bred at Coolmore Stud and is by Woodman.

Amanda Habjan from Cranbourne South in Victoria produced a good test riding her Irish Sport Horse, 'Ellesmore Storm' by Woodmount Carrick to hold provisional fourth place in the CCI Two Star with 50.00 after the first day of dressage.

Although the CCI Four Star is a little short on "names', the stars have come out at Adelaide. London Olympic Team Member, Andrew Hoy is pictured with former international groom and well known and popular Eventing commentator, Emma D'Arcy.

Jade Findlay from NSW is pictured riding her own and Jean Findlay's talented, 'Frontier Psychiatrist' that is out of a Salute mare to take provisional third place in the CCI Two Star competition with a dressage score of 48.00.

Victorian Event Rider of the Year for the last three years, Katja Weimann is pictured during the CCI Two Star Dressage phase riding her home bred, 'BP Flamboyant'. Interestingly Katja also competed on Flamboyant's sire, Triathlete.

Unfortunately Isabel O'Loughlin's, 'Skansen Purist' took an exception to the big screen at the end of the dressage arena and the Purioso gelding did not produce the test he could have. Isabel, a young Rider from Crafters West in SA purchased the typey gelding from Victorian Eventer, Cassie Lowe.

Popular and successful Victorian rider, Will Enzinger does not do his CCI Two Star dressage test until tomorrow. Will commented that it feels odd to be at the Adelaide 3DE without his wife, Emily Anker. Emily is literally confined to bed awaiting the imminent arrival of their first child. But according to Will, Emily's 'spirit' is at Adelaide in the form of her Mini Foxy/JRT, 'Stanley'. Stanley is somewhat lost without his mistress and at home this is displayed by Stanley taking himself off and sitting in a cupboard!

EA Media representative, Nicky Turner is still on maternity leave. She gave birth to daughter, Ava in June and is pictured aboard her own Thoroughbred Gelding, 'Carson Hill' during the CCI Two Star dressage phase.

Daisy -May Denny is pictured aboard, Alison Denny's Thoroughbred gelding, 'Wilberforce' during the first day of the CCI two Star dressage. The typey horse is by Desert King (IRE) out of a Rory's Jester mare.
