2010 Adelaide Royal Show

Rebecca Farrow is the person we would all like to look like on a horse. The supremely elegant rider won the Equestrian Turnout Championship, the class for Lady Rider 30 Years and Over and took second place in the class for Thoroughbred Hack Over 15hh riding her 'Stage Lyric'.

Laura Mow is pictured with her successful New Zealand import, 'El Sid' during the Equestrian Championship for Riders 18 Years and Over.

Gemma Creighton from Queensland took second place in the Junior Grand Prix riding 'Glenhaven Footloose'. Gemma had great success in the Junior section and took out the John and Rae Brice Trophy for Most Successful Junior Showjumping Rider.

Zoe Boulton from Sale in Victoria is pictured riding 'Bob' in the Junior Grand Prix.

Nicole Bruggemann from Gawler West rode her 'Croftlea Merry Dance' to third place in the Junior Grand Prix this morning.

Samara Johnson is pictured riding her 'Single Minded' in the Junior Grand Prix the last of the Junior classes t the 2010 Royal Adelaide Show.

Reece Boylan from Wundinna in South Australia was far outnumbered by girls in the Junior classes, however he is pictured making the most of his ride around the Junior Grand Prix aboard his, 'Robbies Gunns'.

Sarah Hurrell from Loch in South Australia has a successful show in the Junior section with her 'Alladar' that was fifth in the Junior Grand Prix this morning.

Briony Temby from Wistow in South Australia riding Jeff Evans' imported 'Reggi Roosters van Betz' was the only rider to jump a double clear in the Junior Grand Prix this morning for and impressive victory in the final Junior class of the show.

With the help of Coopers Brewery, Lynette Fritsch drove her own and Ian Fritsch's 'Three Roads Lady Guinevere' and the Coopers Brewery's, 'Coopers Charley' to win the Coopers Brewery Tradesman's Turnout class. Lyn Murphy was the groom in attendance.

Well know Sydney socialite and horseman, Joh Bailey rode his 'INXS' to take fourth place in the class for Thoroughbred Hack Over 15hh.

Mark Kenzig rode the Wadworth and Connell nomination, 'Supernatural' to win the class for Thoroughbred Hack Over 15hh.

Tammy Notman rode her 2009 Adelaide Champion hack, 'MP Galveston' to fifth place in the class for Thoroughbred Hack Over 15hh.

Bruce Flood stepped back aboard Maryanne Marshall's, 'DP Mayfair' and despite the loss of a shoe (Mayfair's that is) just before working out, they were placed sixth in the class for Thoroughbred Hack Over 15hh.

Callum Cusack drove the Holberton and Cusack nomination, the Hackney Pony 'Makari Vitality' to take out the Bill Mosey Memorial Trophy for Supreme Champion Harness Exhibit.

Charlie Hunt rode the Argyl Stud's wonderful 'Gryffindor' to win the class for Open Show Hunter Over 16hh and this morning claimed the Show Hunter Championship.

Tracy Maitland rode Renni Maitland's Best Novice Show Hunter , 'TM Memphis' to win the class for Open Show Hunter 15-16hh. They are pictured during the Show Hunter Championship workout.

Beverley Richards lovely and beautifully produced Thoroughbred mare, 'Dymondz' ridden by Rebecca Richards was second in the Open Show Hunter Over 16hh and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Show Hunter.

Billy Raymont rode Bridget Hansen's 'Cortaflex Nicalette NZPH' to jump four and a fast clear to take third place in the Princess Royal Group Adelaide Royal World Cup Qualifier.

Successful South Australian jumping rider, Kristy Bruhn makes a good jump aboard her 'Harbarty' during the first round of the Princess Royal Group Adelaide Royal World Cup Qualifier.

George Sanna made an impressive World Cup debut performance, (the horse that is) riding the CP Sporthorses' impressive and talented Heartbreaker mare, 'CP Aprilla'. Again George gave a beautiful riding demonstration to jump one and five for sixth place in the Qualifier.

Tim Clarke jumped four and five riding the young mare, 'Caltango' to be just out of the placings with a total of nine penalties. Although not confirmed, it is thought that this was Caltango's first World Cup Qualifier, and it was an impressive debut.

If we are talking of impressive debut performances, none was more so that Julia Hargreaves super Indoctro gelding, 'Vedor'. They did not lower a fence, understandable from this photo, but two time penalties from each round saw them finish the World Cup Qualifier in fifth place.

Jamie Winning makes a perfect picture riding her mother Kerrie Winning's imported, 'Congo Z' during the Princess Anne Group World Cup Qualifier. It was the first World Cup start for the obviously talented Congo Z that jumped one and seven to take seventh place in the Qualifier.

Adam Prime from Wandin in Victoria makes a lovely jump riding his 'Saddle Up Darn Good' in the Princess Anne Group Adelaide Royal World Cup Qualifier. With two down in the first round and a good four penalty second round, it was a promising performance from the stylish pair.

Brook Dobbin jumped two super clear rounds riding his Belcam Agassi gelding, 'Advisor' to take second place in the Adelaide World Cup Qualifier.

Cathy Graham from Queensland jumped nothing short of two sensational clear rounds riding her hugely talented, 'Da Vinci's Pride. Cathy had to outrun a fast Brook Dobbin and Advisor and, last out they did just that by two seconds.

Jackie Cox's super mare 'ASB Colthaga' jumped a prefect fence for Jamie Kermond during the World Cup Qualifier. They jumped four and clear to take fourth place in the Qualifier.

Former Adelaide World Cup winners, Clem Smith and Dark Ages' had to be content with eighth place this year. The Neville and Lyn Rose bred performance Thoroughbred jumped four and four.
